I spent nearly 2 hours in the queue for White Water Canyon. -The exit queue, that is! I had a bunch of extra laundry quarters in my Kings Island fanny pack, and it was weighing down a bit, so I decide

Today was and will be one of the busiest days of the years. The Saturday of Columbus Day Weekend is always crazy.

Went with the family on Saturday Oct 8.  Weather was beautiful, albeit a bit windy.  WindSeeker and Drop Zone were closed.  Lines in the early part of the day were tolerable.

Diamondback - 15 mins

Beast - <5 mins

Vortex - <5 mins

most of the normal rides were 1-2 cycle waits.

However, by 4pm or so lines started getting considerably longer.  By 7pm it was too much for us and we left.

FoF - reported 45 mins, but the queues were 100% full, so doubtful.

Firehawk - 45 mins

Bat - 35 mins

Banshee - 50 mins

Invertigo - 40 mins

Adventure Express extended out of the queue lines.  Family decided it wasn't worth the wait.

We were considering checking out a few of the haunts this year, but by the time they opened there were hundreds of people in lines for each.  Food lines were also longer than I've ever seen them.  We ended up leaving around 7pm and eating outside of the park.  Just too many people all around.  We still got in a lot of rides for the day by arriving at 10am, but people definitely flooded in more and more as the evening got closer.

thanks for the info, VortexJD.  Sounds like a Saturday early trip might be worth it.

Welcome to the forums! Keep in mind that this past weekend was Columbus Day weekend, which is always one of the busiest weekends of the year. Many members of this forum did a group meetup Friday night, and it was packed to an extent that I have never seen before on a Friday night. The Saturday of Columbus Day weekend is always insanely busy with some of the longest wait times of the year, and the gorgeous weather only added to the crowds.

So don't expect that one trip to be indicative of "normal" crowd levels. Yes, Saturdays during Haunt are typically crowded, but not quite to that level. Fridays often have short waits for most rides and mazes, so that is usually the best time to go if you want to do haunts along with rides. If you just want rides, not haunts, Sundays are often nearly dead in the fall and can be a great time to go.

Also, pro tip: Adventure Express has a VERY short queue. If the line is to the entrance, that's usually only about a 15-minute wait. Vortex's queue is also deceiving, in that a line to the end of the black fence is typically about 20 minutes or so.

To add to that, the last weekend is right before Halloween.  I'd expect to see some decent crowds that weekend as well.

Either my iPhone or app but not showing any wait times. I saw The Beast was a 60 minutes wait.

Backwoods Bayou, Banshee, and Troika have quite long lines.

You're here? :)

And I believe it's Shake Rattle and Roll. ;)

Yep, I'm here.

A number of KIC members are here tonight.

Looking at the webcams it looks pretty crowed this evening,  Banshee might have 3/4 of it's queue filled.  Diamondback's queue is just about filled up.  Backlot Stunt track is using it's queue area.  Hope they have enough employees to staff the beer tapes tonight. ;)

It's a warmer than normal fall day, this is to be expected.

That's just crazy, I remember my last trip to Cedar Point and seeing the fast pass plus line for Valraven filled up.  On Saturday's Raptor's Fast Lane tents to spill on and reach the on-ride photo building.

Is it wrong to hope for a cool, dreary and off again-on again forecast for two weeks from now, when I will be at the park Friday, Saturday and Sunday? ;)

This place is off the chain. Unruly Teens all over, smoking all over the park, even saw guests climbing in the calander.

I know the park doesn't release attendance figures, but to ballpark would you say 60-70 thousand were in the park Friday? (10-14-16)
