Fire is the great enemy of amusement parks. You'll have to pardon me while I ditch the humor and hope and pray everyone is safe and the ride is not damaged.

Ok, I think Firehawk has to go. It is clearly an arsonist.

Or he had to use the restroom. As we all know, it can take a very long time to get between X-Base and the nearest restroom.

Those who know are very unlikely to tell. I'm surprised it's been down this long from what they have said was wrong. I strongly believe they are doing the best they can to get it up as quickly and safely as they can, though.

Edited: I missed it was back up before posting because of the page break, I'm glad to hear it! Looking forward to riding again this week. Hopefully Firehawk can keep its wings to itself for awhile :)

I think I will nickname this coaster Smokey, because it seems this poor thing has been doing a lot of it as of late!

Humor aside, I just hope no more of these kinds of incidents happen. I really hate the idea of any ride having to be removed because of whatever reason. Not saying this is a possibility yet, but if this continues to happen then who knows?

Normally I'd want those responsible for smoking outside of designated smoking areas swiftly ejected from the park, but FoF is an exception. :P

(Not joking, I saw a group of three people smoking in The Beast's cattlepen at night last week.)

Glad to hear it's open, though. Hoping to be able to reunite with my first looper at Kings Island shortly. :)

Flight of Fear, per the sign out front, and now in front of FOF, is closed.

I love FOF, but I think it's time for it to go

As far as I know, it's only recently started having troubles. Unlike The Crypt and SoB, which had issues throughout their lifetimes... I don't see a reason to remove it unless there's no way to fix the issues.

KD's FoF seems to be perfectly fine.

Plus it's not really "ride" problem, per set. Is electrical stuff that could happen to anything. I mean, it was a LIM motor that was smoking, but you get the point. So long as that ride keeps on putting up 45 minute wait times while it's open it'll be fine.

And how long were lines for Son of Beast when it was open? Or Wildcat at Cedar Point?

Terp, who likes to ask (sometimes inconvenient) questions.

I remember SOB's lines got progressively shorter as the ride became more infamous.

SOB was walk on almost every time I went from around 05 until it was removed.

I do hope that this could be fixed by the 4th for the holiday, but I'm hesitant to think that it would.

FoF (and Shake, Rattle, and Roll) are both closed again today per the sign.

I've gotten to the point where I'm really itching to ride again. Hopefully for the July 7th event.
