MASON, Ohio -- Fire crews are at Kings Island's Flight of Fear roller coaster for the second time this month.

Crews arrived at approximately 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning for reports of a fire, according to Warren County Emergency dispatchers.

Smoke could be seen over the warehouse where the indoor roller coaster is housed, as shown in the photo above originally posted onto the message board website KICentral.com.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. WCPO HAS A CREW ON ITS WAY TO THE SCENE AND WILL ADD MORE INFORMATION SHORTLY.

Fire is the great enemy of amusement parks. You'll have to pardon me while I ditch the humor and hope and pray everyone is safe and the ride is not damaged.

Ok, I think Firehawk has to go. It is clearly an arsonist.

Or he had to use the restroom. As we all know, it can take a very long time to get between X-Base and the nearest restroom.

Flight of Fear is smoking again. I have a friend there he said he can see the smoke and cops are running to it.

Picture sent to me from my friend.

The launch tunnel is also back there... Difficult to tell where the smoke is rising from.

Always said that ride was a smokin fun ride.

edit: wonder what it looks like from the tower?

I didn't see any pictures from the last smoke incident. Does this look the same or is there more visible smoke this time around?

Perhaps KI should have put Firechaser Express in the park instead of that other new ride for this year.

::hangs head::

My understanding was that last time the smoke was contained in the launch track and sort of filled the ride building. This time, it's rising up above it. That could mean the smoke is no different from last time, but it's being ventilated... Or something's different.

The humor won't be fondly recalled if the ride is damaged or - God forbid - someone is hurt.

From the Cincinnati Enquirer report:

"A fire has been reported at Flight of Fear at Kings Island for the second time this month. Here's a picture from the June 2 fire."

While factually true it is the second report it is not true that is a picture from the June 2 fire. There was no fire.

APE's photo is infamous already as shown on WCPO's website...

AND...they copyrighted it in sorts...or so the disclaimer throws one off.

It's his friend's photo. Wonder how they're crediting that... Or IF.
