The topography does not lend itself it connect the two areas without massive and expensive redevelopment of the land. You'd be more likely to see restrooms in X Base. Unfortunately, life isn't alway

Regardless of placement, another mid to large sized wooden coaster in the park would be nice!

It would be Mean Streak at Cedar Point. One of the only coasters that's a walk on at Cedar Point.

Not always true, I have seen full queues on that ride before which is astonishing to me. But the ride still stands, guests do ride it, and some people do enjoy it.

I ride it once early in the season once it opens, that's it

Like upside down?

Just longer, with hills and turns, maybe some inversions.

Kingda Ka has 2 hills, and I guess 2 U-turns. :)

And of the two hills, one of them adds significantly to the ride experience. The other, in this writer's opinion, exists primarily to distinguish the coaster from another, and does so.

Oh, you know what I mean. More hills, maybe a 6,000-7,000 ft. course.

In today's world, why exactly?

For about the same money, two spectacular (in other ways) coasters--or even three-- could be built in two--or even three--parks, with a much better return on investment.

Son of Beast was unique...

I wish it was still there...

And Banshee too.

And King Cobra (Delirium has never been my favorite)

And Screamin' Demon.

The Antiques?

The Safari Monorail?

How about the Bavarian Beetle for that matter?

If you want to see how Kingda Ka would be if it were longer, take a look at Formula Rossa.

Sure, its the fastest coaster in the world at nearly 150 mph and one of the longest at over 6,500 ft, but...

1. it launches straight into trims which defeats the purpose of launching that fast

2. all its elements are reeeaaaallllyyy drawn out, it looks really boring for a coaster that fast

I never really understood those who criticize Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster for being short. Do they forget what happens in that time span? You know, being blasted at triple digit speeds and soaring over 400 ft?

To me, they just seem like Drop Towers.

No Drop Tower launches like THAT. Not even close.

Even Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka launch very differently from each other. One is fluid and graceful, the other surges like a wild beast in a series of thrusts.

I've never been on Kingda Ka, is it really that bad?

Bad? What's bad about that?

It's different. Very different.

Terp, who suspects you don't realize how much this writer adores Great Advencha, New Jersey's Finest Theme Park

Yeah...towers normally (can't say completely don't because of Falcon's Fury) don't let you see the direction you're ascending or dropping. Seeing the ground rush up at you, whilst spiraling down like TTD and KK do is pretty awesome. I for one also love TTD's build up with the racing lights and engine sounds. Its very, very different from a dropping tower.

Also, no tower reaches 100+ mph nor comes close to the acceleration of Dragster of Kingda Ka.

Then down

But you're simplifying things so much. There's more to Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster than what you're implying that make them very different from dropping towers, thus entirely different ride experiences.

For example, name me a tower that does this.

So, BB7, your whole thesis is that to connect both Action Zone and X-Base, one must add in a launched attraction, which, somehow, would accomplish such a feat? All of this, by INTAMIN?

My head hurts.
