March 9, 201412 yr Perhaps they're building an exhibit to educate the masses on the differences between footers and footings, and between concrete and cement.
March 9, 201412 yr I'm thinking speakers and lights similar to the new stuff CP put in two years ago maybe some shading..but def benches and foliage as the project has similarity to Gatekeepers queue
March 9, 201412 yr They are making a special place where Intamin fanboys can gather, in the shadow of Banshee, and have a nice, cool, shady place to sit, eat ice cream and chicken, and whine about not having an Intamin Giga coaster.I would whine about not having a blitz coaster first. Just saying.
March 10, 201412 yr I've been dying to have some sort of bar inside the parks.. Love to have a bit of gin and do some things in the park..Quite a happy relaxing day.. Can only enjoy Yuengling so many times in a plastic cup..
March 10, 201412 yr I can't enjoy Yuengling...as far as beer goes it's Yuckling to me....blah... I do however, like Bud Lime. A nice Bud Lime in the circle of shade....ahhhhhh.... edit: actually, KI could benefit from blasting way into the past and reopening a version of the wine and cheese house...Yum...
March 10, 201412 yr The Yuengling they serve I agree..their original lager is..meh. They have a black & tan though, spot on for a dark lager. But honestly if I could choose..Great Lakes..support the local stuff guys! Besides could you imagine going through Haunt or the Oktoberfest-ish area with an Octoberfest drink..The seasonals could be fantastic
March 10, 201412 yr Sam Adams seasonals are my favorite. Harvest Pumpkin Ale, Oktoberfest, Winter Lager and White Christmas.....yummy.
March 10, 201412 yr Shade structures use footings... watch it be nothing more than that with a few benches, tables, and giant pots with shrubs.
March 10, 201412 yr Shade structures use footings... watch it be nothing more than that with a few benches, tables, and giant pots with shrubs. Better than some dumb target.
March 11, 201412 yr I don't like these footers. I liked going into a wide-open space every time I entered AZ, and while having picnic tables with shade will be nice for guests, it may make the area feel cramped. Last season, when there was no water tower, the space felt more open and flowing. Also, it won't be as nice to walk into an area where the first thing you see is a stray picnic table in the middle of some concrete. Sure, there's an awesome, brand-new coaster and rethemed coaster there that will be appealing to the eye, but usually people look straight ahead, and to see a picnic table is not on my list of first things to see in an amusement park section.
March 11, 201412 yr Well to be brutally honest, I highly dought it will look like this And seriously, lets not freak out about something that isnt even built/completed yet. Yeesh....
March 11, 201412 yr I'm guessing since there's not going to be a place for personal belongings on the Banshee, that a locker area would be a viable option.
March 11, 201412 yr Personally I am hoping for just some halfway comfortable seating and shading to go in that area. In the summer, my wife always looks miserable when she waits on me in Action Zone.
March 11, 201412 yr I hope not. Locker areas aren't pretty. They should tucked along the wall or off the the side.
March 11, 201412 yr Testing Drop Tower as we speak and maybe Banshee..Photos found on DavidW's feed of the Banshee Cam:
March 12, 201412 yr There's a lighter colored area at the near left side of the circle, as viewed from the webcam. Could that be where the queue for our Flying Eagles will go?
March 12, 201412 yr Why does everyone have their heart set that this circle will have a new attraction??Le sigh.. There is a vendor that protrudes lines into the circle at times,
