Kings Island Drive By

Featured Replies

Recent driveby earlier today at Kings Island by moi, enjoy the view.

Fun facts: Banshee's lift hill can be seen by the houses on Tylersville Rd heading towards the park. It's visibility actually does parallel as much as the Eiffel Tower. They are actively working on the parking lot and either sealing it or repaving it, I didn't stay around enough to figure it out. Also The Bat has ALOT of paint on it that's fresh. The color unfortunately isn't as bright as I'd imagine it to be, it doesn't pop on the skyline per say like Banshee's bright colors. But I'm sure up close, it'll look incredible. Banshee also looks great, also that zero g post lift hill loop is actually pretty crazy. It's like combining a camelback and the inversion in one. The sign is displaying info about Banshee, no doubt there. Nothing else new

Hope you enjoyed. Those attending the off season event this week, get ready to see this from the balcony, it's going to be exciting!

So, wait, they're working on the parking lot?

Glad to see them making an effort to smooth out the roughest ride in the park.

The employee lot has some pretty deep sink holes in it that need repaired. It is great that the park is going to repave the lot or I hope it they do!

When the "drive by" thread title caught my eye, I was happy to see that no guns were involved...

I thought the exact same thing :P

Thanks for sharing these! Makes me miss the park so much. Even though it looks like it was rather gloomy. I'd take a gloomy day at the park vs.not being there at all!

Thanks! Now I got that Train song stuck in my head!

Nice pics! I love the overcast sky and barren trees; has a certain "Christmas is coming" feel to it.

I drove by on Friday at about 11:15 pm on I-71, and it looks so different in the offseason. You can't see anything other than the Eiffel Tower, which changes lighting every few minutes. It's neat.

Yes they are. Did an interview with Don and he mentioned that they were also doing work on the parking lot. Didn't specify what kind of work though.

It has major holes, and issues, where have you been for the past seasons?

Not here.

Do we have somebody else on a bumpy road here?

Perhaps they were in the Kings Island lot at the time they posted that? Of course that is trespassing.
