I can't find out where I can find someone selling one. Even though there were only 250 made, there has to be someone out there who is selling it!

What are the plaques?

A piece of the track mounted on a commemorative plaque. Kings Island made them available. Also bolts.

They were for sale shortly after the razing of SoB last fall.

We got one - hangs on the wall proudly.

I wanted one but couldn't justify the cost at the time.

What are the plaques?

It's that stuff that forms on the teeth when you do not brush and floss properly.

Is anyone willing to sell one for this Christmas?

If I had one, I would never consider selling it because im a Kings Island hoarder, I still have reciepts and tickets from when Paramount owned the park.

Not selling one but would it not be awesome for the Park and Coaster Clubs put a permanent sign remember Son of Beast ahead of its time first looping wooden coaster was here .

I mean they have the not so eternal flame that ran out of fuel and wasn't refilled with the logo and 2000-2009 at the entrance of Banshee.

An appropriate homage to Paramount Parks and that company's attention to upkeep of themeing and even to Son of Beast itself, to be sure.

And SOB wasn't the first wooden looping coaster, right? Just the only one at the time with the biggest loop?

Absolutely.

See, for instance, the Flip Flap Railway. One was even in Louisville.

Someone was selling one on Ebay a few months back, but wanted $200.00 more for it.

Speaking of the Son of Beast, I was looking at Cincinnati Ohio Craigslist, and I found somebody selling a Son of Beast metal sculpture. It looks like a Kings Island collecters item, just type in Kings Island and it should be the first thing that shows up.

Wow, that is pretty cool. If money wasn't tight right now and/or I had any personal experience with SoB, I'd be asking for that for Christmas this year.

Don might know if that item was at the park or not. The sad thing is, people will say anything to sell stuff on Craigslist to get people to buy. That is what you have to look for. Research before buying.

I kind of question the authenticity of that. It claims that it's a metal sculpture, but by the looks of those pictures, it looks to be wood....

Only place that I could imagine that to have gone within the park, if anywhere, would be a window display. Seems like an odd sculpture for anything else.
