And, while he was riding Beast on an earlier occasion (in 1999, at the Son of Beast announcement), a member here talked to Werner Stengel at length. You see, the ACErs and media were fascinated with either ERT on Beast, Montel Williams, or both. Well, either that or getting out of Dodge and filing their story about what was to be the fastest, tallest and only looping wooden roller coaster on the planet.)

The one thing that I have wanted to ask Mr. Stengel for a long time, is "What are your thoughts on Son of Beast now?"

He hasn't been back in the USA since it was built, last I heard. And word is he has retired from coaster design.

Wow interesting...I actually didn't know Don's involvement pre Cedar Fair employment...and his numbers, always thought it was just a running joke. Best thing is look at his hair and attire from back then hehehe
