Trying To Figure Out Name of Old Fear Fest Attraction.

Featured Replies

Does anyone remember the attraction in which when you got into the attraction, they made you crawl through the hole? I remember being terrified of it, and I remember on the ground there being some sorta glass window that showed a devil of some sort or something that really scared me. I believe this was between 2002-2005.

It is bothering me I don't remember the name of it.

It wss " revenge of the mummy" when it was in the games building on Coney Maul.

Thanks guys :) I was about 7 or 8 when I went on it, and it was so scary, I remember crying when I saw the lady in the glass, but after that point I loved it. Haunted Houses are the best thing ever. That was my first haunted house.

What if a new haunt would open where you'd have to crawl the entire way, or at least for a decent part of it. I feel like this could really be made scary if the right effects are used. You would feel so much more confined and helpless.

I think an entire haunt attraction based on phobias could be interesting.

Fear of spiders

Fear of snakes

Fear of _______ fill in the blank.

I would be unable to do a haunt that involved too much crawling in small spaces. That's my #1 phobia. I can handle small spaces where I can at least turn around and make use of my limbs, but when it comes to being forced down a small 1 way tunnel, count me out. At that point, I'm figuring out a way to make my heart stop so I can just end it.

If anyone's seen the movie the Descent; that scene early on where the girl gets stuck for a bit in the smallest possible place, THAT'S my worst fear. I'd welcome monsters at that point.

Oh my gosh, here's the scene. I can't even stand to watch it. I started to watch it and had to stop. I need to find an internet cat or something to take my mind off this now.

Edit: Nevermind, I unlinked it because there's an F-bomb dropped in there (of course there is, it's the scariest thing ever), but if you want to see it, search You Tube for "The Descent Cave Collapse".

One can still see the black spray paint coming from the games building where it once resided.

(Just out of curiosity, does hp mean Harry Potter?)

The funny thing is that, after Curse left after the 2004 season, the infamous crawl tunnel was relocated to the Trail of Terror where it remained until a bunch of Dinosaurs took over. Of course, the transition from an indoor to an outdoor environment (especially being put on the ground in the middle of the woods) made the tunnel really damp and moist, which made it a truly nightmarish experience for those who braved it. And for those who don't remember its location on the Trail, it was the second scene of the attraction, immediately following the cornfield scene, and before the outhouse. It also most notably was the section where the trail split in two for a brief moment, with "Brave" and "Chicken" options for guests; the "Brave" side being the tunnel, and the "Chicken" side being a more wheelchair-friendly path going through laundry. It's quite sad, though, that the tunnel was never put into another Haunt attraction after Trail left. I would've at least expected it to go in Wolf Pack as a makeshift moist cave.

If done right, a spider-themed haunt would be the most terrifying haunt in existence. And by done right, I mean, the spider props would need to resemble their real-life counterparts to a T. Essentially the Acromantula section of Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey made into a walk-through haunted attraction.

^^ how about actually using the animatronic spider (that was never animated) from the Bayou Bloodbath attraction. That thing was freaky as heck in the dark...I kept expecting it to jump up but only got scared when the ghillie suit guy came out from under it...that was the real scare. I literally jumped when it happened....LOL.

interestingly, fake spiders and webbing in strobe lighting looks rather real....add in snakes and maybe a scene like this...

If it was never animated, that means it was ordered as a static prop which is much cheaper than an animatronic version.

Speaking of "animatronic" spiders, THIS:

...is what I'm talking about! Have that as a finale scare for the spider maze and peeps would almost literally be tumbling over each other trying to run away.

I found myself on the floor multiple times during the Haunt...

That would be terrifying in a haunt! .....Love it!!!

Spiders is a theme I infact use at my home. The key though is that to decorate for this theme, you have to know your props. I- Know your spider. When you are decorating try to think like a spider, where would you catch your prey. II- Know your type. There are different types of spider themes EACH being very different. Cave spiders, toxic spiders, even haunted house spiders, I use a toxic/haunted house hybrid. III- Make it realistic. Make the spiders look like they are crawling and the other props their prey. A haunt like this would need people in cocoons and possibly spider/human hybrids, or something like the Mist.

How about a 1950's post atomic testing haunt, where all of the "phobia" creatures (rats, spiders, snakes, etc) are abnormally large.

I was thinking more along the lines of a doc Jeckle hybrid facility but that is perfect!

This could have a preshow

Leading through a mock home with the mannequins and then army soldiers rushing people to safety while fighting off the mutant creatures.

What could a haunt like this be called?

Nuke-X, a nuclear radiation spill with a chemical combination dubbed X.

Great name!......And it could fit perfectly in or near X-Base someplace. With big creatures, it could be partially in and out of buildings lots of chain link fencing for mazes and military vehicles with fake firepower and flame pots....

Even this could be part of the show....(even though it is Green Peace, it still is just weird enough for a Halloween Haunt attraction pre-show.)
