September 7, 201312 yr I just have a question from something i saw on another topic... I heard that the old crane used to make FOF is still in the building. Does anyone have any info on the this? Its got my mind wondering.
September 7, 201312 yr It was in there at the KIC event over the summer. Its not a full fledged crane system per se, more of a gantry type system.
September 7, 201312 yr I read somewhere that the walls for the building for Flight of Fear was built first, then the coaster was lifted over the top of the walls. If this is true, how in the world could the "crane" system inside the building be used to construct the ride? Does not make sense. The crane system inside the building is used for checking track and support joints, I believe.
September 8, 201312 yr The building was put up around the coaster as I recall. There are construction pics floating around the forum or internet somewhere. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

September 8, 201312 yr I am sure they have to have something in there for maintenance pourposes. Instead of taking the building apart.
September 10, 201312 yr Like someone mentioned earlier, there are gantry systems in there that are used for nothing more than people moving. I'm not 100% sure on their weight capacity but I'd be willing to bet they can't be used to pick up track pieces. That being said, the roof also opens up for crane access.

As you can clearly see in the "arena", there's no track, yet walls are up.
