^ Back when my thighs were the wrong size for Magnum, I tried to hold the bar up and only succeeded in getting my hands crushed along with my thighs. The bottom of the first drop was so forceful that it would force the bar down to the next click against my attempts to hold it up.

We decided to ride Magnum in the front row. And no I wasn't stapled. And I tried holding onto the lap bar for dear life, it didn't help one bit. It was pure torture. No amount of room left between you and the restraint will help.

Your thighs are the wrong size.

Seriously: if your thighs are the wrong size, you will get stapled every time and end up in lots of pain. Try bulking up your thighs slightly to make it harder for the lap bar to staple you.

You shouldn't have to train to ride a roller coaster.

How were you holding onto the bar? Try wedging your hands between the bar and your thighs - you want to direct the force away from where it would hurt.

I'll ride anywhere on Magnum, and I always bring the lap bar down until it rests on my lap. Some rows would be very painful if I didn't hold on.

I would trade pain for ejector air any day. No pain, no gain.

The only thing I feel is ejector air, no discomfort.

Like I said, I've never had any restraint problems...I typically ride 1-3 on maggie, prefer right side restraint sits fine with one click above resting on my thighs, two clicks is a full staple...

Ah well, pain is subjective, as well as body types..Sucks you're not enjoying what I still consider to be one of the best coasters ever created

At first when I rode Magnum, I was like...

Ow… Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow Austin, why did you staple me down?!?

But after a few more rides on it, Maggie has begun to grow on, me not as good as Diamondback or anything, but it actually is a pretty nice ride. I think this will be my brothers next step up from Gemini and The Racer. If only I could find a smooth seat on it.

Thanks thanks thanks!

I don't know which is worse...Magnum the ride itself....or people calling it Maggie! Gemini is extremely smooth. It's got the mine train feel at the end of the ride in the little helix.
