Didn't see this mentioned here yet, I know it was popular w/ people on the board last year, think I may try and take advantage of it this year...

I don't believe I've seen anything on 2014 season pass prices yet.

Yay! I went last year during this promo and it was fantasic! I'll definitely be there next weekend!

That's what I've always thought, about labor day being busy, but I've heard on here that sunday and especially monday are pretty light. Can anyone confirm past history?

Last year KI was not busy at all on Labor Day . A couple of years ago I went with a friend to Cedar Point on Labor Day weekend and it was not busy there either. I have seen a few holidays that were fairly busy but most of the time it's not. A lot of families have cook outs on those holidays. Most of the time I don't think Labor Day is too bad crowd wise.

  • $1 per play Plinko

Depending on the odds, that could be a lot of front-of-the-line passes. Making it $1 breaks a psychological price barrier, especially when $1 food deals leave people with extra cash to spend.

I don't think they're referring to the 'roving' plinko board that features said passes. There is a permanent plinko game in Coney mall across from Zephyr.

Labor Day weekend is DEAD. So glad Dollar Days are coming back. That's by far my favorite promotion they do at the park because it's a fantastic value. I just hope this year they offer breadsticks at LaRosa's to go with the pizza.

Breadsticks are my guilty pleasure.

that game isn't there this year

Wow, my dad goes on and on, about how when he used to work there, Labor day was about as crowded as it gets, so he refuse to take me then. But, now, thanks to this thread I may be able to convince him to take me, and finally take over the tri-state area.

Actually, I'm sure the park is hoping that guests buy plenty of soft drinks, breadsticks, fries, and other non-discounted items to go along with their $1 loss leaders.

How long were the food lines last year for the dollar deals, by the way?

Just for the blue ice cream is worth the trip. I bribed my 9 year old to ride Drop Tower with me and then we ate blue ice cream. She said I screamed then we are eating ice cream. best day

Hmm. I wasn't planning on going back to KI until the birthday bash on the 8th, but I may have to make a trip for this. I missed last year's Dollar Days because I was in Florida at the time.

How were winners notified last year? I assume winners had to be in the park to get the prize?

I mean, KI has your information from when you processed your pass, so I suppose you wouldn't have to be there- not sure how it actually works, though.

I noticed on the park's website that plinko has been removed from the games eligible for a buck per play FWIW.

I am sure this is a good way to get rid of the remaining inventory that the would be stuck with in September if not sold over that weekend!

Stuck with? You do realize the park is open every weekend in September right? It has everything to do with boosting attendance on a relatively uncrowded holiday weekend.

Last year Skyline Chili dogs were a buck during this promotion. This year, I was told they aren't participating because they lost money last year. Really?

C'mon Skyline..... are times that tough?

That's pretty cheesy to say the least.

The roving Plinko game is indeed a buck. My son won us a front of the line pass on it today.

The crowd today was light and ride lines were ok. Food lines on the other hand were insane today.

For some odd reason, the line for WWC was completely full.
