Banshee Queue Music

Yeah I doubt any song by A7x would be played at KI.

Nightmare, Welcome To The Family, Afterlife and Second Heartbeat seems to be the only songs that would be considered in my opinion.

However if I'm not mistaken I think I did hear Nightmare at Haunt one time, but I'm pretty sure it was just coming from the 96 rock van and not through the main park speakers.

...and an Opera. I never said I believed Mr. Lindner. Quite the opposite, actually. Phantom of the Opera was hugely popular back then. Raiders of the Lost Ark was hugely popular back then. T

I think it's been played before, at the very least an instrumental version/ adaptation.

But I have the tendency to believe that I heard that wonderful intro in the park during haunt.

^Although I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, trust me, I'm sure that MANY parents will be riding Banshee with their kids. After all, isn't that Cedar Fair's plan going forward from now on? Building rides that parents will want to ride with their kids, and more importantly, not because of their kids?

Either way, I wouldn't want that song played in Banshee's que anyway as I think it's a little overrated. A much better selection from A7x in my opinion would be Almost Easy or Afterlife.

Now a song that I would absolutely LOVE to be played during Haunt, but would never happen as most would consider it too "underground" for the GP to listen to, is Second Heartbeat...

This song just kicks @$$!

Avenged abandons waking the fallen for the most part as it is. It is pretty sad as that is their best material. I'm glad I saw them five times before city of evil came out. I remember I got laighed at when I requested WEBN to play unholy confessions because they had no idea whatb it was. A year later city of evil comes out and all of their stuff is on the radio from that point on. A park would never use waking the fallen era material.

Spooky Celtic Forest/ Grave Yard Ambiance!!! If they HAVE to play music( I prefer if they didn't) Then Michael Jackson ''Ghosts'' is a good track.

Good ole Avenged Selloutfold. Possibly my least favorite band going these days.

Waking the Fallen was a huge album for me growing up. It is what pushed me into more aggressive music. I hated them for several years after City of Evil and self titled came along. I have forgiven them more recently and still really enjoy the early work as well as some of the new.

And it hits me like a ton of bricks. Suddenly, I'm struck with the realization that the kids who were just hitting elementary school as I was graduating high school are now adults themselves. Now I feel old.

But I digress. Graveyard ambience in the line queue would be perfect, as would spooky organ music. I love horror movies, particularly "castle thunder" classics. And, of course, I just dig Scooby Doo. So I naturally just love that kind of theming. But something tells me there are millions, billions, kazillions of KI patrons who would disagree with me, and by proxy of that, Cedar Fair. So I reckon we'll be getting the same kind of tunes we get on Diamondback.

Waking the Fallen was huge for me as well. I would probably like them more if it weren't for the vocalist, I think he is terrible. Gates can shred though, he is awesome.

I think the Gothic Moon music from RCT3 would suit Banshee just fine :)

I think it would be interesting if they used some kind of Halloween Haunt music... Also add a couple Banshee screams every couple minutes I think would set the mood perfectly!

^^ Id lose my mind! Im think a Banshee scream either every 30 mins or every hour on the hour.

I would love if they did it so that the Banshee scream was played when a train is at the top of the lift. It would signify the start of her journey. I would also prefer that it be played loud enough to be heard by those who are actually on the train as well as in the queue.

I wouldn't like it to be too loud. The volume that it was at during the announcement was too loud, I don't like the scream cause it's so ear piercing.

Not music, but the safety spiel should most DEFINITELY be recorded by Pat Carroll in the voice of Ursula. We would just change her name to Banshee. Obviously.

Check this out!

This one would be great. It's got the Celtic theme and is a bit mysterious.

"Dyfuna" by Terry Oldfield

Terry Oldfield is the older brother of composer Mike Oldfield (of "Tubular Bells" fame) and younger brother of singer Sally Oldfield (who had a big hit with "Mirrors" in the UK in the late 70s). Like his siblings, much of Terry's music is of the new age / progressive rock style. The album this song is on came out in 1992.

Ghost - secular haze. It would fit the feeling they are going for I think.

While anything by Ghost being played at Kings Island would be mind-blowing, I don't think their lyrics and image are quite "family-appropriate", haha.

Take out the lyrics and it would still work.

Its just words. They allow smoking which isn't family appropriate.

I was actually thinking about this today. Since Banshee is a darkly (as in spooky) themed female ride, I think it'd be appropriate to mostly play music from hard rock bands with female lead singers such as Evanescence, Flyleaf, We are The Fallen, and Halestorm (there are probably more hard rock bands with female lead singers, but the four I mentioned are all I can think of at the moment). Specifically, the following are a list of songs that I think would be cool in Banshee's queue line:

Sweet Sacrifice- Evanescence

My Last Breath- Evanescence

Haunted- Evanscence

I get wicked- Thousand Foot Krutch

Falls Apart- Thousand Foot Krutch

I’m so sick- Flyleaf

Red Sam- Flyleaf

St. John- We are the Fallen

Tear the whole world down- We are the Fallen

Through Hell- We Are the Fallen

Salvation- Skillet

Not Gonna Die (plus the cool intro -for those who have listened to Rise, you know what I'm talking about...)- Skillet

Comatose- Skillet

Falling inside the Black- Skillet

Not Strong Enough- Apocalyptica

while Falls Apart is an awesome song, I don't know if that's great for a roller coaster :P hahahahaha. I haven't heard Not Gonna Die yet, but sounds awesome.

For a change of pace throughout the day, they could use Flogging Molly. The uptempo beats would surely get the awaiting crowd pumped!

Smoking also doesn't promote satanism ;)

Hey you're preaching to the choir man. I love Ghost. But it's pretty obvious that their music will never be played at KI.

Maybe dark creepy organ music to fit the gothic/irish cathedral theme

Given the recent partnership with Cedar Point to produce a live show during Halloweekends, I wouldn't be surprised to see their music utilized there, or maybe at other parks. If not, it's def. something to think about and wonder. This would be awesome to hear in the queues.
