Banshee Construction Progress

Featured Replies

I dont think so. Its too central of a location to put it there. Nobody wants the first thing they see when entering an area of the park to be a smoking area. Especially when it ha a beautiful new canopy above it. If I had to guess its probably some sort of eating area with new tables.

We did not mention all the statistics during the announcement because statistics are not what make a roller coaster great; it's the ride experience it delivers that makes it great.

  • It's good to see me, isn't it? No need to respond! That was rhetorical. Under 30 days until Banshee makes its public debut! We can't wait for you to come out and experience this ride.

We have guests that are more excited about our live shows than our roller coasters, that visit the park specifically for the shows. For these guests, the Cirque Imagine announcement was as exciting as

Maintenance access road.

Not sure why everybody thinks there will be people strolling around underneath the ride.

I'm talking about the new concrete just poured.

they can easily block off the rest of the road after that.

And it's not directly under the ride. Not anywhere near it really. I'd say you're a lot closer to Vortex on the midway then if people were to walk on that path.

Also: has the arch over the two stone columns been there, or was that added yesterday or this morning?

It's been there.

Probably typed with my thumbs.

*cries* When I first checked, the train was at the top of the loop that interacts with the lift hill, I went to save it, and then it was gone! *continues crying*

I can see people walking in the queue line.

~coasterama, who has enough free time to check the forum at school.

They're probably testing it. "Ok we go straight. Check. Then left. Check. Then right. Check. Then left. Check. Then right. Check. Then left. Check..."

I don't see why they'd add the trees and mulch if no one's going back there.

Considering it isn't indicated on the park map as a path, I would assume it isn't for anything as of now.

One could speculate that it might appear on the map come Haunt time :)

Or it could be a maintenance path, as those are also not on the map.

Indeed but most maintenace paths are either straight gravel or asphalt. Why would they spend the extra money to pour that type of concrete? Unless of course it is just gravel and the webcam makes it look like more than such. Not to mention they have landscaped around it.

Just speculatin'

With the new seating area in front of Delirium and Ice Scream, do you think the exit to Delirium may be directed to the back of the ride to prevent congestion in the area? seems like the area near the dive loop has widened and there is an opening (most likely a maintenance entrance) in the fence at the back of Delirium.

^^ Thats a pretty good thought! That area has to serve some other purpose besides a maintenance area. Theres little to no machinery back there, and if it were to connect with the road under AE's entrance that pathway would have to go down a pretty steep hill. Also i agree with myklhicks, whats the point of adding trees back there if no ones going back there? Riders on Banshee sure won't be paying much attention to them. Im thinking this will be a great spot for guests to snap some good pictures.

Maybe there is another Reds Grille-type patio in the works. Wouldn't that be cool! And the path could at least meet on the other side of Sling Shot, next to the AE entrance someday if they want to extend it.

They are getting the timing tight! Each time the camera updates, a train is on an earlier part of the track. Running 1 1/2 to 2 minutes between each train?

Maybe the lighting effects will be situated along that path

But right now, it looks like the fence at the back of Delirium is open to the path

That does sound good but it also goes back behind Slingshot. Wonder what that part is for?

Maybe people could have a choice, Head out into Action Zone, Or head into Coney Mall.
