I'll be at Kings Island by myself for awhile tomorrow and wonder how long it would take to walk from Flight Deck's station to Mondo Monsoon in Soak City. I'd like to find out. Any guesses? I'll walk at a rather fast pace.

I would be shocked if it took me an hour. When my son got in line for Drop Tower once (which I don't ride), I took a quick walk to Rivertown LaRosa's and back and it only took me 15 minutes.

1. Why didn't you go to the Festhaus LaRosa's?

2. How fast were you walking? It took me 15 minutes to get from the Festhaus to Rivertown Pizza.

I think it would it would be an hour if you were crawling, though that sounds like it would be hot and painful. On the bright side, at least your end destination is in Soak City! Haha

I tend to "sight see" so it would probably take me closer to 30 minutes.

I'd say 15 minutes to 25 minutes depending on your pace.

Well then. Maybe my estimate is a little off, but don't you guys think it'd take a little more than 15 minutes to get from the station of Flight Deck to the steps of Mondo Monsoon? You have to factor in the pathway between Soak City, possible crowds, and everything in between.

I wasn't going for pizza, just taking a walk while my son got in the Drop Tower line that he estimated to be 15 minutes. I walked for 7.5 minutes, was at the pizza place in Rivertown, turned around and walked up to Drop Tower just as he was exiting. I was walking pretty fast.

Anyone else thought this was about the new ride or whatever is coming in 2014 just from the title of this thread?

^ I kinda thought it was a thread about what's after 2014. But I say 20 minutes at average pace, with friends 30 minutes and 10 at Fire-Beast-OF FEAR pace.

I have previously measured the distance between the main gate and the Soak City gate via pedestrian pathways in the parking lot at almost exactly half a mile, which is 9 to 10 minutes at a brisk walking pace. Using that as reference, I would estimate 15 minutes, maybe 20, at a fast pace from Flight Deck to Mondo Monsoon.

how could it possibly take you 15 minutes to get to Rivertown from the Festhaus that literally takes me on average 6 minutes. Then again i do walk at a fast pace.

I guess my idea of fast is everyone else's slow!

I would walk outside the park, out the main entrance and back through Soak City entrance.

I'd rather not walk through the parking lot.

I just thought, what if I get stopped by a train at the crossing? Can I pause the stopwatch?

There was a train, I didn't realize there was a bridge so I walked over that.
