Cedar Point and Bad Knees

Featured Replies

So on Monday, my dad is going with me to Cedar Point and from time to time his knees act up. He doesn't mind any coasters (He thought Dragster looked fun) but he doesn't want to ride any that might bother his knees. Obviously this rules out Mantis. I can't think of any others that may be hard on the knees. In fact, the only reason I can think of that a coaster would be (besides standup coasters) is that it has very small trains. Are there any rides that he should avoid (other than Mantis) in order to avoid upsetting his knees?

Wildcat. Iron Dragon and Corkscrew have different amounts of leg room depending on the row, so watch out for that.

Edit: Forgot that Wildcat wasn't there anymore... move along! :)

I don't think he'll have to worry about Wildcat. It was removed before last year's opening day.

Blue Streak may be a bit tight.

Coming from someone who has long legs I always found that most early 2000's Intamin sit-down coasters have been a little snug to be in. So Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster should be fine just maybe a little tight.

I'm going to assume Corkscrew and Iron Dragon use the same trains as Vortex and Flight Deck, respectively? If so, no worries, I ALWAYS ride either 5-1 or 1-1 on Arrows with that style trains.

Also, I'm spending two days in the park, and he is only spending one, so I have Tuesday to ride everything he can't :P
