FUN 2013 Q1 earnings call

Featured Replies

Link was posted in another thread with a specific topic, but I'm starting a new thread for general discussion.

Two things I found interesting:

First, although it is early and the numbers are still small, that most who buy Fast Lane are buying the Plus upgrade. So it might not have a significant effect on the Fast Lane lines for the Plus-only rides. Again, it is early, as was said in the call.

Second, they are testing pre-loaded cash wristbands, like Holiday World has, at Dorney Park with an eye to implementing them chain-wide. I'm interested to see how well this works; I've always gotten a wristband when I go to HW because trying to work with cash and wrangle change in a fanny pack is more than a bit annoying and can hold up the line.

Pre-loaded cash wristbands are a great idea all around in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised to see that introduced chain-wide next season.

Indeed it is, but their are some names here that I have never seen implemented.

That is, at Kings Island or Cedar Point.
