X-base exspantion

Featured Replies

There is a area next to X-base with buildings and other stuff, first off what is that and was it used for and second would that be a area we could expand into.

I tried and fail to post a photo of it so if any one has the capability to post it please feel free to post it.

I wish that there would be an expansion, but I doubt it. It would be cool though. How would you get around to it with Firehawk in the way?

^ Now that you mention it, Firehawk is smack in the way.

I would love to see some more stuff in X-base. At the bare minimum, this is what I would do.

1. Restrooms

2. A walkway to/from Action Zone, with games and other things along the way.

3. A flat.

The park can't just start adding restrooms, rides and other things to any area or creating a new area without having a master plan for that section of the park. I bet with the past Soak City expansion, there is a master plan that will allow for the addition of new water slides and even replacement of existing attractions. I even guess that there are master plans that include Action Zone, Coney Mall and X-Base or if not all, they will have one.

They added WindSeeker without any "master plans."

Or WindSeeker was part of the "master plan."

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Please observe the maintenance buildings to the right of current X-base area, and I believe that area could be accessed through the plaza del X-base.

Perhaps, Kings Island could expand x base behind Firehawk. They could have expanded behind Firehawk off to the right but I believe that some "animals" have occupied the area:)

When Kings Island first opened FOF back in 1996, they had no access to it from Coney Mall, so they had to create an access through The Racer. Now they have Firehawk in addition to FOF and if they were to further expand X-Base, is the current opening through The Racer large enough? Do they need to have another access to it that does not go through The Racer? Can they create another access through The Racer that will not compromise the ride's support structure?

They have the dinosaur slice, the second walkway through The Racer.

They could make any other paths go around it on either side. The current X-Base path isn't small compared to any other path, so I don't see why it would be considered not large enough.

Their is a trail that goes right beside SoB's Rose Bowl, behind AE, and pops out right behind Fiehawk. It would be very easy to pave that trial/ maintence road and have it be part of the park.
