August 10, 201214 yr Can anyone tell me where the queue for Flight Commander is, and can you see them from Google maps? Sorry for the thread hijack. It's now the Dinosaurs Alive picnic area. On Google's aerial imagery, it may still contain the pool with the plastic spheres (and, if you look really closely, you might spot Beast1979 inside one of them )...

Yeah, it still has the pool with the plastic spheres (always wanted to do that but never got the chance to!) & I don't have good enough eye sight for that!

August 10, 201214 yr I'd remove that and install Phantom Theater 2.0 or The Phantom Theater Returns. It would be like the original, but better. Instead of one level it would have 2 kind of like the Haunted Mansion at Disney. Also, I'd have a cobblestone path leading down to the new building and theme the area with trees and old lamps and lamp posts. And of course sound effects coming from hidden speakers. It would be a whole experience!
August 10, 201214 yr @ voice- Great idea, I would have more of a brick path, but the whole idea of PT at AT sounds great, (See Haunted Mansion landscaping).

I was just thinking about something that would resemble an old road. I've just always thought that that area would be great to theme, especially for a ride like Phantom Theater. I'd almost like the building to appear somewhat hidden and then get revealed the further you walk down the path. I've created something like this in Roller Coaster Tycoon and often imagine what it would be like if KI ever brought the Phantom Theater back and put it in a location that was fully themed.

I'm thinking the vine wall? If so I know what you mean, a few pillars, with english ivy, or wintercreeper growing up it. Then having old jallopys sitting around the quene.
August 10, 201214 yr Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but isn't the Haunted Mansion (at Disney World at least) only one level?
August 10, 201214 yr I'm not sure. The last time I went on it I was six and had my eyes closed the whole time. I was not a fan of "scary" things at the time.
August 10, 201214 yr Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but isn't the Haunted Mansion (at Disney World at least) only one level? The elevator "with no windows and no doors" takes you down to board the ride.
August 10, 201214 yr ^That does not necessarily make it a 2-story ride. Also, the elevator takes you down something like 6 ft., not enough for a 2-story attraction.

In case I'm mistaken, doesn't that only happen in the Disneyland version? I'm pretty sure the Disney World version just raises the ceiling. Of course, I could be wrong.
August 10, 201214 yr Couldn't it be one of those "fake" elevators? You know one where nothing really goes down, but you just get the illusion you are? I've never been on it so I don't know!

August 11, 201214 yr Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but isn't the Haunted Mansion (at Disney World at least) only one level? There are parts in the ride where the car you're riding in goes up what's supposed to be stair cases I guess. You are definitely going up to another level. Then, I believe, you come back down at one point as well. I wasn't talking about the elevator part before you load. That is obviously an illusion. However, during the actual ride part you do go up and down to various levels.
