August 28, 201213 yr I wonder if Kings Island is going to do any thing to Son of Beast now that they have a few days that nobody is there.......
August 29, 201213 yr ^ Yeah maybe they're setting up for now by getting all the bulldozers into place. Now I remember the guy in charge of Kings Island saying they would take it down piece by piece. Wouldn't it seem easier if they just took the wrecking ball to it? Also what about how they took down that one tower ride at a six flags park? Does anybody have the link to that?
August 29, 201213 yr My guess is they have already started. I meant "start" by work we can actually see. Not prep work. Sorry for the confusion.

August 29, 201213 yr ^My guess is that they will wait until after Labor Day Weekend. My guess is they have already started. My guess is that one of you is right.
August 29, 201213 yr My guess is that no ones right and KI's pulled a fast on on us and they're suprising us with a SOB 2.0 next year!
August 29, 201213 yr If the moon was made of spare ribs, would you eat it? I know I would, and I'd polish it off with a nice, tall Budweiser.

Imagine the mess they would have to clean up if the entire Son of Beast roller coaster was literally demolished with a wrecking ball. I'm not in the industry, but it seems dismantling it would be both safer and easier. Dismantling in an orderly fashion vs knocking the structure down into splinters and nails and bolts to go recover. Maybe someone who actually knows will chime in, because I'd like to find out actually
August 29, 201213 yr They should wait until after haunt, and decorate the heck out of that thing. I would make a haunted trail going back into it. You could put all kinds of strobes on it, hang bodies/skeletons from the track, etc. Make use of the trees around it, and of it's own shadow. It could be pretty awesome.

SoB already has a large enough black cloud over it.FB will blow up with: "did you see SoB during HH???? KI put out all the bodies to display what the ride has done!!!!!"
August 29, 201213 yr That's a good thought. Yea. I was trying to think of a way to make it profitable for a little while. But you are absolutely right. Baaaaad thinking on my part.

He said it would basically come down the same way that it went up - section by section.
August 29, 201213 yr AND if this wasn't already pointed out, SOB is about 15 feet (over or under exaggerated) away from Top Gun and AE, which causes a HUGE threat to those rides if SOB was taken down with a wrecking ball.

Am I missing somthing? Or is my mind telling me he just said AE and FD are 15 ft. away from each other... Im confused
August 30, 201213 yr Noooo, I meant like Son of Beast and Top Gun are really close together as well as Son of Beast and AE are close together -____- Edit: and @CoasterFanatic, Yes I did, I'm just stating a fact!
August 30, 201213 yr Thats a funny way to put at it. We could use Delirium as demo but wait....We'd have to wait forever for new huss parts .
August 30, 201213 yr ^Thats good.. We could knock out two birds with one stone and take out Thunder Alley too.
August 30, 201213 yr Dear Kings Island, Six Flags is removing The Rattler and building Iron Rattler in the same year. Make this happen. Sincerely, KIC
August 30, 201213 yr Since when is Six Flags removing Texas Giant? I thought they were retracking The Rattler to make it Iron Rattler.
