Bird slams into boy's face on Six Flags roller coaster

Featured Replies

A boy expecting a day packed with fun landed in the hospital Thursday afternoon when a bird slammed his face as he was riding the Kingda Ka roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure.

Kristin Siebeneicher, a spokeswoman for the park in Jackson, N.J., said the roller coaster had already plummeted 45 stories back toward the ground and was pulling into the station when the bird struck the passenger's face.

Park officials could not disclose the age of the passenger, but said he is a minor.

This bird brain needed Prozac!

Fabio's incident:

I feel bad for the bird.

It's flying around, minding its own business; thinking about what the wife might be cooking up for dinner tonight back at the nest.

Probably worm again.

He's sick and tired of worm. But he has to make due. She's been sitting on those eggs for weeks so she can't go out for anything exotic like bread crumbs.

Mmm...bread crumbs...

...then BAM!!!

Some random kid's face comes flying out of nowhere and hits him. He doesn't expect to see kid-faces way up where he is.

Rough scary life.

A bird slammed into a rider's face? No, a 128mph roller coaster filled with people slammed into a bird.

Based on the amount of bugs stuck to my face after riding Top Thrill Dragster, I can only faintly imagine how horrifying of an experience this must be. Hope the rider's okay!

Hope the kid is ok. Since were going in this direction, I wasn't going to post this but here goes:

Do you know what the blonde to Fabio?

"Other than that..how do you like our new coaster?"

The bird hit him while they were around the station, read the article. He wasn't hit at 128 mph.

A.S.Coasters: Read jbt's post again. Carefully written, it didn't say the coaster was doing 128 mph. Rather, it said it was a 128 mph coaster. Well written and accurate.

Reading quotes under people's usernames... I'm glad I wasn't the only person whose parents stuffed napkins and paper towels into their shoes to get them on The Beast! :)
