Wooden vs. Steel which one and why

Featured Replies

Which do you like better. I like the comfort and smoothness of steel but wooden are more of a thrill and are just plain fun. It's a tie.

El Toro is as smooth or smoother than any steel coaster I have ridden. The Roller Coaster at New York New York Casino in Las Vegas is rougher and more violent than any operating wooden coaster I have ridden.

Terp, choosing his words with care.

In my opinion, Wooden and Steel roller coasters shouldn't be compared. They are totally different rides and expiriences, Thats like asking someone if they like Donuts or Hamburgers better. I Love The Beast but I wouldn't dare to compare it to Millenium Force because they are different types of roller coasters and made Completely different.

Well, steel/wood hybrids was the first type, but my favorite is the wood type coasters.

Steel. Wooden ones are fun but they tend to give me headaches. I do love The Racer though! I've never really had a problem with that one.
