Kings Island Baseball Invitational

With the 4th coming up and this Tournament with teams all over the US looks like it's going to be an overly packed weekend. Of course it's going to be in the mid 90's!

What is this?

Ya I have no idea what this is, it would have been nice to explain what this is in your post!

I think he wanted the clip where he was trying to land the plane and was pouring with sweat to show how hot it's going to be. Just guessing.

Ah. This tournament and Spirit Song on the same weekend and right before the 4th of July? Man is KI going to be packed. I wouldn't be surprised if they hit capacity on Saturday.

What is capacity & what happens if they meet it?

If they meet capacity, they temporarily stop allowing additional guests into the park, until management determines that enough people have left to allow more in. It doesn't happen very often, but it has happened in the past, particularly when Paramount did the "Nights of Fire" promotions on the 4th of July weekend.

I noticed yesterday that there are cones setup in the grass area of the parking lot outside the new wave pool as if to identify parking lanes. I took this as a sign KI is expecting big crowds this weekend.

And then what happens if they then reach capacity again, shut down the gates again, and one of those guests that left comes back with his handstamp? Is he not allowed back in? If so, what if he had something in a locker that he needs to retrieve?

From what I understand, they turn people away at the tolls, not at the admissions area. I don't know how they determine when they can let more guests in either.

How can they turn people away at tolls? That's one way, and they can't just close the gate.

So does every team get free tickets to KI or something? If not, I fail to see how a softball tournament in Mason will generate thousands of extra people coming thru the front gate.

The page linked in post #9 above indicates that participants can purchase discounted tickets to KI. And besides, we're dealing with 10- to 14-year-olds here. They're going to want to relax and have fun when not playing, and KI is the obvious choice. Also, don't forget that there are teams coming from as far away as Georgia for this tournament. The kids will want to see the local attractions, and that naturally includes KI.

Sorry but a baseball tournament isnt going to generate thousands of extra guests. A few hundred is more like it.

Maybe a few hundred...

These people are: traveling a good distance, playing/ watching games, already spending a good amount of money, then a good chunk dropped on less than a full day at KI during a holiday weekend when it is known to be busy?

Yeah, I'm guessing a small amount.
