Stand-Up Wooden Rollercoaster?

Featured Replies

should their be one? I think yes because it be intresting

Son of Beast was/is certainly interesting. I doubt interesting will be among the top priorities during the Ouimet era. Safety, reliability, wide appeal, marketability, low maintenance costs, yes. Interesting? Probably not.

They'd have to offer knee replacement surgery at the onride photo booth.

It would probably cost an arm and a leg!

wonder if half steel track and half wood track is possible for something like SOB, or in genreal?

"Sir, would you like a bumpy or non bumpy seat?"

Since I've heard bad things about stand-ups as it is I would see no wooden coaster stand up in the future and I doubt anyone would ride it. Maybe a stand-up inverted...no, suspend, roller coaster. That sounds like a great idea!

Even though it would be shut down and labeled as a torture device, I voted yes because I think it would be one of the funniest and most interesting rides possible.

the first wooden coaster with over the shoulder restraints!!!

What I want to know personally is how you got this idea?

I'm thinking maybe a design where you're standing, but your feet aren't touching the ground. The restraint holds you up & in. It would save on the knees and give chiropractors some extra work (or they may use it as a new king of table!)
