June 19, 201214 yr My favorite amusement park would have to be Epcot, favorite water park is KI Soak City. (Although I haven't been this year yet)
June 19, 201214 yr Seasonal - Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Year-round - Disney California Adventure or Universal's Islands of Adventure.
June 19, 201214 yr For me it's a tie on amusement/theme parks as Cedar Point is great for its thrills and surroundings but Holiday World just has that something special. Waterparks I'd have to go with Splashin Safari but when River Rush opens they'll be in a tie with Splash Country.
June 19, 201214 yr Two different things are amusement parks and theme parks. So... Favorite Amusement Park: Holiday World Favorite Theme Park: Islands of Adventure Water Park: Splashin' Safari
June 19, 201214 yr Amusement park- Cedar Point, as much as I love theming, atmosphere, and good food its all about the coasters for me so Cedar Point, but Busch Gardens Williamsburg for a CLOSE second. For water parks I do not know because I've only seen Soak City (which is now my favorite addition to KI in a long time!) But I am visiting both Splashin' Safari and Splash Country this summer so that might change.
June 19, 201214 yr Favorite Amusement/Theme Park - Cedar Point Favorite Water Park - Soak City Kings Island
June 19, 201214 yr My favorite amusement park is definitely Cedar Point because of all of the rides and I really don't like water parks but if I had to choose it would have to be Splashin' Safari.
June 19, 201214 yr Amusement Park: I, tragically, cannot choose between Kings Island and Holiday World, so it's a tie. Both parks have things I love (and don't love) about them. I adore them both...and these just so happen to be the only parks I've been to, outside of Indiana Beach (and I haven't been there since 1999). I really need to visit some more parks... Waterpark: Splashin' Safari wins by default, as I have never been to KI's waterpark or a stand-alone waterpark...but it would probably still beat most of them, given their epic waterslide collection...
June 20, 201214 yr Amusement- 1. Islands of Adventure 2. Kings Island 3. Geauga Lake 4. Six Flags Great America/Dollywood/Magic Kingdom. Can't decide. 5. Busch Gardens Williamsburg 6. Busch Gardens Tampa 7. Universal Orlando Waterpark- 1. Soak City 2. Castaway Bay
June 20, 201214 yr Author Can't believe no one has said Epcot, I think that park is just like nothing else.
June 20, 201214 yr Favorite Theme Parks: -Cedar Point, Dollywood, Six Flags Great America, and Kings Island. Favorite Water Parks: -I don't really pay that much attention to water parks as I'm usually on the coasters, but KI's Soak City is great. I also enjoyed the Beach when it was open.
June 20, 201214 yr Can't believe no one has said Epcot, I think that park is just like nothing else. Epcot is very cool, but it's very outdaded and most of their rides are educational; sorry, but I don't go to Disney World to learn.
June 20, 201214 yr Year-round - Disney California Adventure or Universal's Islands of Adventure. DCA? Interesting choice, what ranks DCA above the other Disney parks? Year-round: EPCOT (especially at precisely 6:45 AM when the time Vortex opens and you can see visions of Horizons and Wonders of Life shimmering in the distance). Seasonal: Kings Island or CP.
June 20, 201214 yr Amusement parks - Hands down... both Busch Gardens parks, with Sea World close behind. Water parks - None, not interested. Seasonal event -Busch Gardens Hallowscreams (both parks) with Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights in close behind. Really want to go to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg......(Ahh Winterfest excuse me while I wipe a tear...)
June 20, 201214 yr DCA? Interesting choice, what ranks DCA above the other Disney parks? I absolutely love Disneyland Park, but there's an energy and enthusiasm about California Adventure right now that I really enjoy. I'm a bit of a history buff, so I love the new time period appliques in the park, and the juxtaposition of Los Angeles' Buena Vista Street versus Missouri's Main Street U.S.A. I think the Carthay Circle Theater is the most physically beautiful icon at any Disney Park. Both of the parks in California are a "best of" amalgamation of the spread-out rides at other parks, but there's a great aura around California Adventure right now that I can't resist. Of course, Disneyland Park will regain its #1 spot eventually, especially with Indiana Jones Adventure...
June 20, 201214 yr What is so great about Indiana Jones? You mention it in every one of your posts than involves Disneyland.
June 20, 201214 yr The moment you ride it, you'll know! And don't even bother with an online POV video. It's way too dark.
June 20, 201214 yr Can't believe no one has said Epcot, I think that park is just like nothing else. Not everyone has been to Epcot. I don't know if I can choose a single favorite for me. If B.G.W. had a wooden coaster, it would probably be.
June 20, 201214 yr The moment you ride it, you'll know! And don't even bother with an online POV video. It's way too dark. Have you ever been on Harry Potter & The Forbidden Journey at Islands of Adventure? Now that's an amazing ride!
June 20, 201214 yr Just try not to drink too much Butterbeer and Pumpkin Juice before riding. Have you tasted Butterbeer? I heard it was really good but was too afraid to try it!
June 20, 201214 yr I thought it tasted like cream soda with butterscotch added. I really liked it, but it might not be a taste for everyone.
June 20, 201214 yr I thought it tasted like cream soda with butterscotch added. I really liked it, but it might not be a taste for everyone. have you tried the frozen or liquid? i have had frozen and it is really good. the harry potter ride is easily hands down my favorite ride. RIP Jaws .
June 23, 201214 yr Islands of Adventure and then Busch Gardens Europe. Splashing Safari at Holiday World.
