Today I only went to the waterpark. I started with the racing slides, to the double blue & green slides, to the family slide in the far back, the 4 colorfull slides, and finally left with a swim in the original wavepool (Yes from past disgression I will not say names of water slides, nor the name of the waterpark.). The lines were minimal, and the crowds were semi large. If you have any comments/concerns of the waterpark at KI please ask in the comments. BB1

Don't understand why you can't say the names or Soak City. Things change, just because the park is not named the same name or the attractions have been renamed, it's still the SAME water park, with the SAME RIDES!!!!

How exactly did you take the whole Cedar Fair take over?

BB1, it's always good to have members stating their concerns for the park but you are sounding like a one-year-old child IN EVERY POST. I was very upset that the park tore out antique cars for Italian Job, and even today if I ran the place I would bring antique cars as my first move, but I got over it and had a fun time riding BLSC. And it's just the water park.

BB1 - if you want to call rides by old names, go ahead. Many do for Top Gun, Beastie, and other things in the park. Heck, I don't even know the new names in Soak City anyway.

That said, what was the point of this TR? It comes across that you wrote it JUST to be able to make the comment that you wont say the new or old names now - which as mentioned above comes off as childish.

You obviously enjoy the waterpark and have good memories of it as Boomerang Bay - enjoy those memories, but let yourself move on and develop new memories in Soak City without carrying around the BB baggage.

The reason for the TR and many others are to give a glimpse of a day at KI, only to help. I also do not know the names, being the reason for me not saying the names. Also for the end of this comment is that I do not hate sc but only that calling the rides the old names is a habit that I am trying to break.

Prior to it being Boomerang Bay it was known as Water Works. FOF was Outer Limits: Flight of Fear. Kings Island became Paramount Kings Island under Paramount and reverted back to just plain Kings Island when Cedar Fair took over.

What's in a name when its 90 degree outside? All I can say is that water feels good!!!

The water park at King's Dominion hasn't changed much. It's still known as WaterWorks. It didn't bother changing up to be a Boomerang Bay. It's a small park though. The entire King's Dominion is small.

Actually the waterpark at KD was not always called Waterworks. It was known as Hurricane Reef from 1992 thru 1998.

And Kings Dominion is not very small, either! It occupies about as many acres as Kings Island (350 - 400 ish?). Disneyland, by comparison, is around 85.

What waterpark? The Beach? How did you get in there?

If you are trying to break the habit, start by taking away the signature, & start calling it Soak City.

After Holiday World's water park, Soak City, is just blah. They need a water coaster or two. Mammoth and Wildebeast were awesome.
