June 5, 201214 yr Tomorrow I'm driving a group of middle & high schoolers to the park for a day of fun. Leave home 7 a.m, stay at park until 7 p.m., drive home until 9. So I'm thinking somewhere 2-3-4 in the afternoon, I'm gonna want a nap. Where would you suggest? Best suggestion I've heard so far is a shady chaise lounge in Soak City. Are there other quiet / shady options someone could suggest?
June 5, 201214 yr The train I really try to be careful and not doze but its such a nice ride. Eh Tower Gardens might be okay if not the waterpark in the lounge chairs.
June 5, 201214 yr I once needed a break from the kids and cranked the AC and slept in the car,i usually dose off in a lounge chair when we go to Soak City for a bit.
June 5, 201214 yr I slept on the concrete bench by Invertago once. Not really the best spot to sleep though. LOL
June 5, 201214 yr I used to take naps in the Lazy Miami, but now i cant. I recomend the SC Breakers Bay is it? For lounging around, and napping.
June 5, 201214 yr I was going to say the train as well, but make sure you eat a huge lunch first! You'll be so ready for a nap! Ha ha.
June 5, 201214 yr i once pulled up a brick slab in tower gardens. the section i went where there wasnt alot of traffic thru there was by the carousel. the music & atmosphere right there is almost perfect for a nap.
June 6, 201214 yr I have slept on the train, in my car, at the former Boomerang Bay, and at the picnic tables between KIMV and Potato Works. All successful experiences
June 6, 201214 yr Too late now I suppose (unless viewing with a smartphone in one of the few spots with actual cell service!) - but I find the shady area between The Beast and Vortex to be conducive to a nice nap. I have certainly made the brick wall comfortable by using my backpack full of towels, and it helps if one procures a frosty adult beverage from the stand near LaRosa's first! lol
June 7, 201214 yr Near the station of KI&MVRR (train), there is a shady grass area. I always see people sleeping in the grass there.
June 8, 201214 yr Take a walk to GWL...pull up a chair or piece of sofa. You have AC, and they are comfortable enough to sleep in.
