Tapatalk?

Does anyone access the forums with tapatalk? One of the main reasons I've fallen off with KIC is that it's not easy to access with a mobile phone (to me anyway) and I just heard about tapatalk, which would seem to make things easier. Is KIC set up for tapatalk access? Thanks for the help.

Uhhh what exactly is a "tapatalk"?

http://www.tapatalk.com

In short, it allows you to browse/post on forums from your Android, Blackberry or iOS device. It's free for forum admins (you have to install a plugin for it to work with your forum) and $2.99 for users.

Exactly. You beat me to it. So what's the verdict? Boddah, Dane?

Sounds like the internet app that i use!

On my iPhone, I just use the mobile version without much problem - although there is always a note at the bottom about the free ip board app for iPhone.

If it were set up, you would see a notification about Tapatalk when accessing the forum from a mobile device. If you have FTP access to the forum directory, you can install it yourself in just a few minutes. Register an account at tapatalk.com, then click "Activate Forum", choose the forum software and follow the instructions.

I'm not grave digging just to grave dig here...

I was wondering about Tapatalk and did a search of the forums before posting a new topic and I found this. I've searched the Tapatalk forum database and did not find KIC under any criteria I tried. I'm assuming that means it's not enabled. Would it be possible to do so for those of us who access the forums primarily from mobile devices?

I'll look into it. Invision was promoting a branded application for android that I was holding out for but seems to be on the backburner for them.

Obviously my post was lost because I was slow getting the new server, so I'll comment again:

I would love to have KIC available on Tapatalk. I already use Tapatalk for another forum I'm on, and it works wonderfully, much better than the stock mobile version here. If you could get Tapatalk set up, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Wow just did too and I'm actually impressed...I'll stick to using this. So far it hasn't pushed notifications like I thought it would but I like the setup, minus the lack of a new content button, I had to "read" the whole forum just to get unread to display recent material. I usually had my new content to display all new within 24 hrs

Yes, you can currently get the public beta of Tapatalk 4 for free. That's what I have on my phone.

^ there's generally a reply box at the bottom. Tap that and type your message. Then click send.

If you want to quote someone, tap the header of someone's post (where their username is) and tap "quote".

Then again, it may be different for me because I have the free tapatalk 1 and am on iPhone, which may not relate to what you're experiencing at all.

Edit: glad you figured it out! :)

Finally I can get on KIC with my slow phone. Thanks Dane!

Just a little tip for everyone. Yiu might want to go to settings and change your signature. I can see how it can get annoying quickly. I just figured that out.

It works! As for the signature, this is the one I use on a Star Wars forum, and it appears that Tapatalk won't let me set different signatures for different forums. So y'all will have live with me flaunting my Star Wars fandom. :P
