My six year old son's first rides on Vortex and the Beast

Featured Replies

My son, who is six, is a huge thrill seeker. He's been riding coasters and thrill rides since he was like 3, riding all the coasters at WDW and Disney Paris. Also rode the Matterhorn at DL in Anaheim when he was either two or three!

He LOVES The Racer at KI, and yesterday he finally got to do his first rides on Vortex and Beast. He liked The Vortex, though he said his head was bouncing around a bit on the restraint. But he LOVED The Beast. It was very funny because when we pulled into the station, he looked at me and said, "We need to ride that again! RIGHT NOW!!"

Can't wait for him to go on his first Beast night ride...that's his daddy's favorite ride in the world. :)

Glad you and your six year old enjoyed these first rides together. I look at similar experiences with my boys as some of my favorite memories at the park.

I can't wait for the first time that I take my dad on Diamondback. He's gonna love it.

Not as good as a father taking his son for a first ride, but pretty cool.

I am hoping that my son hits the 48" mark this year. He loves to marathon Woodstock Express and wants to ride the rest of them. He really wants to ride DB, obviously he still has a few years before he can do that. Thanks for sharing your experience RD.

"We need to ride that again! RIGHT NOW!!"

Great line! There's nothing like your first time...it sounds like he (and you) will always have a nice memory to look back on. :)
