2012 KI crowds calendar

Featured Replies

Today was definitely a 1/5. Pretty much a "perfect" day at KI. We zipped through Action Zone in less than 2 hours, riding everything except for Skyflyer, Congo Falls and the race cars.

So lets kind of have a recap of how the crowds are like.

A rainy opening day 4-28-12 - a 2/5, walk ons in the morning, getting a little busier later in the afternoon. (Info from 16gwoods)

2nd weekend Saturday (Nice weather) 5-5-12 - a 4/5, Diamondback- 45-50 minutes around noon, from the looks about an 1 hour 15 minutes in the afternoon. The Beast- Around 1 hour most of the day. (Info from me, medford, RollerCoasterRoyalty, and McSalsa)

2nd weekend Sunday (Nice weather) 5-6-12 - a 3.5/5, not to bad in the morning, 15 minute waits for major rides, crowded in Planet Snoopy, got very crowded in afternnon, with Vortex and Adventure Express queues filled. (Info from jdawg1998, Ffej, and medford

3rd weekend Saturday (Nice Weather) 5-12-12 - a 5/5, very crowded, hour and a half waits on major rides, "Like Disney World on a Saturday during spring break" -jdawg1998. (Info from jdawg1998)

First week of daily operation, (Nice weather) 5-14-12 and 5-16-12 - a 1/5, walk ons for most all rides but FOF and Firehawk, great day. (Info from Joncars05 and Oldiesmann)

Is there a "touring plan" anywhere? I have used the Disney World Unofficial touring plans and they work great! I'd love one for KI as I haven't been since kids were 2 and 5. Now they are 11 and 14 and I need an idea of what to ride and when keeping in mind the kids have outgrown some kiddie rides but they are still kids and like some preteen/teen attractions. Any help would be much appreciated. Planning on going on June 18 or 19. Thanks!

Friday 6-8-12... 2.5/5

Wasn't to bad, I don't think. The Beast had a 35 minute wait around 3pm, and a 25 minute wait around 8pm. Flight of Fear always had an hour to two hour wait. This time it was a nice 30 minute wait. The Racers was a walk on. Vortex was about 15 minutes, I rode AE 4 times in a row because of no line (annoying people was funny cause me and my friend screamed like little girls. Drop Tower was a 15 minute wait. Diamondback was a long 2 hour wait. Firehawk I'm not sure of.
