I am considering reading it, even though it came out years ago. All I know is that it takes place at pki.

It's about these kids and riding The Beast and find out it's haunted. That's basically all. Of course, I haven't read it myself, just what I heard. And from what I've heard, it's not worth reading.

from what i remember they go back in time to an old amusement park. that is what i remember from 3rd grade.

The first one is a trip for them that takes them into Firelight park (Kings Island before Kings Island) and the whole time they see really old rides like found at the early Coney Islands. The whole time they are trying to find The Beast so they can get back to their own time. They later meet a ghost of a mantinence man who lives on The Beast. The second is really dumb though, they ride The Beast and some guy in the past made some machine that would make kids from the future come through the machine. Then he dressed them up into futuristic clothes and gave them weird gadgets and then he would pass them off as show items in a circus. The entire time they are trying to get away from this man and get back to their own time period again. Anyway its really about 4th grade reading, I just read it cause I used them in a report about roller coasters. I know that there used to be a copy of The Beast and The Beast 2 in the drive box of The Beast.

i used to read the RL stine books when i was kid... if i remember correctly it was about a haunted coaster named The Beast...and me and a friend were just talking about how we both thought it took place at pki

It's a good book, but it's definately for a young reading level. Beast used to have a copy in their drivers box. I know I've got several copies of them around here somewhere if anyone wants to borrow it....

Hey I still have that book the first book was awsome the 2nd I never read it.

I got The Beast 1 and 2. Read them in the 2nd grade though so can't tell you much more.

when I went to PKI last year both books were in the window at The Beasts station.

It takes place at pki? well no.... it takes place at ki before paramount got a hold of the park.

I remember reading the beginning of the second one in the 3rd grade, until I lost interest in it. It was a tad too upsurd for my taste. (I must have thought it was the first one)

It has nothing to do with when paramount bought the park. They go back in time to a completely fictious place called Firelight Park. It is not at all historically based.
