Dumbest Ride?

Featured Replies

Stitch's Great Escape is just gross, first of all, and the over the shoulder harnesses (if they still have them, it's been five years since I last went...) are so annoying and uncomfortable. Also, it tried too hard to be funny...

And I don't appreciate Disney characters farting in my face. That includes you, Figment and Claire.

Never been on a boring ride , love them all, no matter what they are as you can experience somehting new, sure you may not quite exactly like it but its wonderful, mixing it up is the spice of life. !

  • The Crypt...

This one is going to hurt a little, because I really, really love AE; except for that awesome build-up to the...station! ;)

Hahaha! This reminds me of the first time I went to KI in 2008, Jeff (count_of_tuscany) had told me that a certain ride at KI called Adventure Express has a huge surprise at the end, he literally played it up for almost a year. He told me not to look online about it, because he wanted me to be surprised. He said the ending was AWESOME! I was soo pumped! We went up that last lift-hill and I was expecting something amazing! Instead, I got the station  . I laughed so hard because I totally fell for it! We did the same thing to my mom the next year when she came to KI for the first time! She had the same reaction as me! :P

The only one coming to mind is The Crypt. Was great as TR, but yeah. I'm sure there are others but nothing is coming to mind right now.

Crypt had more than two programs. None were the same as Crypt at Kings Dominion. The Kings Island Crypt was a Giant Top Spin. Kings Dominion's is a Top Spin. They are not the same ride.

Probably a ski lift ride, it kept stopping on me, and it took forever!

Where?

Curious Terpy

Well as my grandmother says "curiosity killed the cat", it was either in Tennessee or Ohio i want to say Tennessee.

I think there's a ski-lift thingy in Gatlinburg, TN. Remember it as a child and once in the 90's sometimes. Was kinda cold.

I remember riding a haunted mansion ride a few years ago at a local carnival. I was expecting those corny carnival effects. However it ended up being all black walls with a few mirrors duct taped on them and I think the ride lasted 25-30 seconds. I was so mad, that when we got back to the loading/unloading dock I jammed the restraint bar up and it ended up falling off.......

Infact I rode that in 05 it was a good ride up the one I stated was actually in ohio the more I think of it.

Stitches Great escape is about the same as Alien Encounter. I been on both version of Alien.

My dumbest ride is Journey into YOUR imagination.

The Roller Coaster at New York, New York Casino, formerly known as Manhatten Express.

AKA Manhurtin' Express...

You guys are talking boring rides in Vegas and chose this over High Roller? While I would agree that coaster is painful, High Roller was just such a let down as a ride. Great concept (coaster on top of 1000' tower), Great opportunity (unbeleivable views), poor execution (less exciting than most kiddie coasters - Great Pumpkin style).

BLSC and AE have their dumb elements, but they're pretty fun to ride. I haven't ridden anything in my life that was both dumb AND boring (so, of course, I never rode Crypt).

Well, considering that

replaced
...

Not nearly as bad as when they replaced

Worst ride? Mission Space, no contest.

Gotta agree with you there. That coaster wasn't much fun, at all.

What is the dumbest/worst/most boring ride you guys have ever been on?

This thing:

The fact is that he didn't even bother to name it.

Hands down the wooden shoes that used to be a KI. I had a fear of them breaking loose, and my dying in one. At 12, the worst thing you could think of was dying in a huge fiberglass replica of passé footwear.

I loved the shoes! Was the warm up for the rest of the park and everyone could ride them.

The Beast. So glad its gone now.

You're banished from Kings Island Central for your mistake. Never make it again.

The Crypt in its final years.

Runners up:

Boring:

Woodstock's Whirlybirds (at least when you're by yourself - if you have a kid with you it might be more exciting)

XTreme Skyflier (initial drop is fun, but I didn't think it was worth paying for)

Dumb:

Ghoster Coaster (exciting for the kiddies, but rather painful for the adults - especially those who are tall and/or male...)
