OK, I honestly don't think I've ever played any of the arcade games or even been inside the place, come to think of it. What is it like? Do they have games where you can win tickets and trade them in? If so, what are the names of these games? Is it run by Midway?

I'm trying to see if it's worth checking out the next time I'm at the park and can't wait that long to find out if they give out tickets or not. That's kinda a new hobby of mine. I've neglected going in there before because of the rides. Any information you can give will be helpful. Any criticisms, oh believe me there could be some, will not be welcome.

Why would anyone go to a park and play video games? That can be done at home.

The arcade across the midway from Coney Mall Skyline doesn't have any games for tickets. At the skeeball arcade across from Tucker's, they have games that do give away tickets that you can redeem for prizes. I haven't been in there in a long time so I don't know the exact games that are there. The games are maintained by Monduce; you can check out some pics of the KI arcades (among others) at their website.

lets spend $42 to get into the park and go check out the coney mall arcade! then spend $10 on tokens to play games which i can do at several malls in the area for $42 less.

The Coney arcade is the best arcade in the park. It's got DDR, and a crap load of awesome games. It's the biggest arcade in the park, and it's definatly worth checking out.

And on BAFFDs, sometimes the arcade is the best thing to do!

If you're talking about arcade games, our redemption center has some awesome ticket-giving games, and some that are not worth it. (I remember when they gave out tokens and tickets). In my opinion, try ghost hunter-it's the only shooting game that gives tickets.

Coney Mall also has a lot of chance and skill games, such as ball toss, ring toss, goblets, and peach basket. Their prizes are certainly worth the money, if you have the skill. My suggestion: play lucky ducky-you always win!

Well, you can count our employee ID as a pass, as it does allow us into the park. Maybe I should rephrase that, so that most of us have either a season pass OR employee ID. There, happy now?

There have been some cases when I have been at the park, and the Coney Arcade is full...at least at the front where all the new games are. To be honest, I usually go in and play a few games when I'm there. Obviously it does okay because it's still there, and it adds to the feel of Coney Mall, which I thought was supposed to emulate, or at least pay tribute to... old Coney Island. Amusement parks have always had arcades or "games of skill", and since this one does ok, then keep it open, and let all those people crowd around the Dance Revolution game.... geez I hate that game.

You go man! I looove DDR! I just don't play it very well. When I came in to interview @ pki during a job fair day, their DDR was FREE. I played it for four hours straight while waiting for my first interview, and another hour and a half, while waiting for my second interview. Pki got me hooked!

Yeah, I got hooked on DDR at PKI also. Heck, I even compete in tournaments for DDR now!

I don't exactly do that, but I have fun with it when I can. (Hopefully when noone is around, so I don't get laughed at). I'm a clutz. I trip over my own feet quite often than normal. I get into theater accidents by running across the stage and tripping on my feet. But I get back up and keep dancing. Oh yea!

I prefer WATCHING people do Dance Dance Revolution. It's great to see people make complete goofs of themselves. And what about that Simon Says thing where Skylab used to be! All I can say is that someone would have to PAY ME to do that thing!

Last year at action theater, the mantinance guy was fixing a couple of the arcade games. He let me play DDR (which i suck at) and the racing game for free for a half an hour. Hey wanna know something funny, well the daytona racing game in the exit of AT, If you listen to the music really closley it says, "Dont walk away, dont go away, dont walk away, dont go away," Several times then it says, "play me, play me, play me." its actually the lyrics to the music that it plays on the game. Talk about subliminal messages.

THat is how they get your money, they have to get your money in order to build all those exciting rides they would like to put in there. If they didn't brainwash you they would run out of money just running the place for all these people.

I like watching people that are good at DDR cuz i suck at it...then i like playing Time Crisis and the shocker chair and punching thing is cool... but last time i did the punching thing it didnt give me a darn reading on how hard i punched it

Actually, I read somewhere on the web about two weeks ago that PKI only makes about $2 million a year off of games. While this is a large amount of money (I personally thought that this total would be higher, and it might be that the place I read it at had incorrect information), it pales in comparison to the money the park generates from food, merchandise and admissions. I heard that the park has a revenue of over $100 million a year. Although most of that is spent on staff wages, replacement parts (they spend about $100,000 on new wheels alone each season), landscaping, utilities, taxes, etc. What is left over is what the park spends some of it on new attractions.
