February 12, 201214 yr Word from under the Black Hat is that Invertigo will debut in 2012 with a new color scheme. I've heard the track is going to be blue.
February 12, 201214 yr That would be pretty cool...that yellow/red color scheme reminds me of ketchup and mustard put together which grosses me out.
February 12, 201214 yr Wasn't that the idea behind Mc Donalds paint scheme? To make people leave faster?
February 12, 201214 yr I'm pretty excited about this. Poor Invertigo's been looking pretty sad for a few seasons. Wonder if it'll look like Dorney's new invert (whose name escapes me at the moment).
February 12, 201214 yr Blue...Blue and Yellow to match the other one that frequents KI's adds Oh wait...that's Yellow and Blue...hmmm either way I think it will be a nice color scheme!
February 12, 201214 yr I would like to see blue and turquoise or something along the lines of Leviathans colors.
February 12, 201214 yr I guess we will find out here pretty soon when people start going up to get their passes renewed and employees start training.
February 12, 201214 yr >Invertigo "might" be painted blue for 2012 >Stinger at Dorney Park will be painted blue Possible rename too?
February 12, 201214 yr Interesting that they are repainting Invertigo but they made it yellow and red on the map.

February 12, 201214 yr I'm darn near in love with the colors of FACE/OFF when they're fresh. I never saw it as "yellow and red," but as a maroon and mac-n-cheese that I thought were dramatic, attention-grabbing, and appropriate for Action Zone. That being said, their faded counterparts are less than awe-inspiring. The Stinger colors at Dorney Park have me a little undecided. In promotional images (in which the color was Photoshopped), I like how the track comes across as a seafoam color. But in reality, it's blue on top of a different blue, which I don't like near as much. Since that particular ride is the first people notice when entering Kings Island, it would be weird to see it a different color. (PHOTOSHOPPED COLORS) (ACTUAL COLORS)
February 12, 201214 yr I don't think anyone's walked up to the front entrance and turned around because the colors of Invertigo weren't welcoming. I'm more disappointed that Boddah1994 claims this is from under the black hat yet doesn't update his blog of the same name.
February 12, 201214 yr I had suggested in another topic that Face/Off (Invertigo) should be repainted because it looks pitiful and I guess KI finally realizes that too.
February 12, 201214 yr I'm sure it's not that they merely realized that it needed to be painted after all this time, but that proper planning had to be made.
February 12, 201214 yr Not to mention that paint is not just aesthetic, but also protective. Painting a steel coaster is also a much simpler process than painting a wooden coaster, particularly so if the wooden coaster has not been painted in many years.
February 12, 201214 yr I had suggested in another topic that Face/Off (Invertigo) should be repainted because it looks pitiful and I guess KI finally realizes that too. They said it was in fact because of your suggestion.
February 12, 201214 yr I just read this on the park's website: "Because of its location near the Front Gate and striking color scheme, Invertigo is where many thrill seekers choose to begin their day." I really hope they repaint it the same colors as Stinger. Heck, I just hope they repaint it.
February 13, 201214 yr From KIPR on Twitter Work has begun on giving Invertigo a new color scheme. Aqua track with royal blue supports. https://twitter.com/#!/KingsIslandPR
February 13, 201214 yr Just saw the image on their Facebook. I had not been keeping up with this topic so I thought it may have been a photoshop joke, but alas it is not. I personally wish that they would have just gave it a better red and yellow paint scheme. It is going to look strange at first walking up to the gate and seeing a newly painted Invertigo. Does anyone know if the trains are being painted as well. (Shucks, there goes any memories of Face/Off I had in my head.)
February 13, 201214 yr Blue on blue. Makes for a happy color scheme! Hahha. The entrance plaza will definitely feel different now, but at least it's getting attention.
February 13, 201214 yr I like it and I'm tired of ignorant people posting on the picture on Facebook, "UGH FIX THE SUN OF BEEST INSTEAD". Do they realize that this is just a paint job? Its like when you build a new house...costs a lot of money and painting the walls is one of the smaller parts of this...people think that they can just fix Son of Beast for the same price as giving a 1000 foot roller coaster a paint job? The only reason why I complain about this is I just wish people on Facebook would stop talking about Son of Beast. You can't just ask Kings Island to do something and they'll do it...
February 13, 201214 yr ^Aye... but... Painting a roller coaster is no small feat (or inexpensive one for that matter)
February 13, 201214 yr Do yourself a favor and don't go on Kings Island's Facebook. Or any theme parks' (though Six Flags and many others are smart enough to not have the "fan" discussion be visible from the main page, instead opting for only official status updates to be initially visible). We're talking about a population who can't be corrected. Tell them all you want that Backlot Stunt Coaster does not go upside down - they'll say you're wrong. And with the anonymity of the internet, they'll likely insult you in the process. It's best to just stay off of the Facebook page of something you find great personal enjoyment in - you'll only upset yourself by seeing the opinions and naïveté. Truthfully, it's probably best to stay off of Facebook altogether.
February 13, 201214 yr Your right. The more and more I go on the more and more I get impatient with these people. Also I hate when people ask questions like, "Are you open then?" "Whens opening day?" "How much do tickets cost?" or something like that. Thats what the website is for....
