SFMM Rescues Dog From Hot Car...

Featured Replies

What nerve! Would she prefer her dog have died in the car?! They didn't break in there for giggles! Until they find the dog, I'm going to imagine it's living a happier life with someone who's got more sense than to leave the dog in a hot car...

wow, for the first time in a while i can see both sides of the story. obviously six flags did what was right, they saved an animals life that was deliberately placed in danger. however, i can see the woman's problem with the situation too, after all six flags magic mountain did lose her dog, even if it was after they saved it's life.

...but, i do stand by six flags decision to remove the dog from the vehicle.

Well, obviously she didn't care about the dog too much, if she felt like leaving it out in a car.

For decency sake, I can't say what I think of this woman for doing that, especially a pommie. I stand behind Six Flags on this one. I would have broken in the car and not thought twice about it. It's a life.

May I also add, some folks who qualify for companion animals, should not have one period. This is a great example.

Does anyone wanna fill me in on the legality of leaving pets in cars, at least in Ohio, the Empire State of the South, or New Jersey?

So there was a kennel available, just like at KI, and Idiot leaves her dog in the car.

Yes.

She is an idiot.

One summer it got so hot, that we took our dog to the park, after calling to make sure the kennel was available. Anyone with a third of an ounce of compassion would've called ahead and questioned if a kennel were available. I hope the dog now has a decent owner.

Ki kennels have ac, are clean, have indoor and outdoor spaces, they walked my dog, and made sure he had plenty of water.

I work at the Pet Care Center and I wonder if we met when you brough your dog in? I take pride in my job there and I am a pet lover. I worked there in the 90's and since 2007. I am the older guy and my name is Michael. We do make sure they have plenty of water and check on them very often to make sure they are doing ok. The one thing we do not do is walk them or feed them. I remember a couple years ago security brought in a dog that was left in the car during a hot day. Also, if you come very often, we also offer a season pass for your pet at $60 per cage for the entire season or $20 per cage each day.

There's not many Scotties, so perhaps you remembered him, that's the time we used the kennels.

We would go say hello to him like every two hours, just in case he needed to go out. We believe his previous owner was deaf (He was a rescue), because he didn't bark, but would shove you with his nose to get attention, and we didn't want to saddle the caretakers with a bunch of odd instructions.

There was a female caretaker that did take him out back, it could have been to an outdoor kennel, but when we stopped by for lunch, she had said she just brought him in. I could've mistaken the words to imply a walk.

They had picnic tables nearby, where you can have lunch with your dog. He liked the kennel very much, and considering he was so curmudgeonly, that would be a compliment.

It's a great service for people who don't want to leave their pets home in a crate all day while they are out having fun.

Shall we start with naming the dog "Malibu" and go from there? It was an "emotional support" dog.

I take it this woman needs emotional support because she's found herself alone after years of treating others like she just treated that dog.
