Height - 5'6" - 5'7"

Weight - 275-280lbs.

Waist - 50 inches

Bust - 59 inches

Thigh is about 27 inches, I wear a 20/22 pant size.

I'm worried about not being able to ride the rides at King's Island.

Wondering if anyone had any stories they'd like to share or any rides that I could completely avoid.

I figure the Drop Tower and the Diamondback should be avoided.

However, I've noticed some topics with people being able to ride the Diamondback.

Any help would be appreciated.

Diamondback will be fine. But I have seen some people not able to fit in WindSeeker.

The Racer was a tight fit when I was a size 18, so I'm sure it's not a ride I'll want to attempt.

However The Beast I've never rode, but I've heard it requires 3 clicks now? And that's what is getting most people?

Beast only requires two clicks. But, for whatever reason, the restraints on PTC's adult trains at Kings Island are lower than at other US parks. Two clicks at KI would be three at most other parks with PTC individually ratcheting restraints.

Avoid Drop Zone

At one point in December of 2000, I weighed 410lbs and now I am down to 235lbs at 6'3". While I have no problem in fitting into rides, the screws and plate in my cervical spine (C4 to C7) prevents me from riding the thrill rides. I value my spinal cord health over my desire to have fun, which is no fun if I injure my spine.

You should be fine, just take advantage of trying out test seats at the rides that offer them and if you're not sure, you can usually ask a ride attendant to try out a seat through the exit. When I was at my highest weight some years back (about 250 lb at 5'6", size 22) I remember The Racer and The Beast being a bit of a squeeze, but I never had issues with the lap bars. It also depends on your actual body proportions as opposed to just the number on the scale. I would say go ahead and try Diamondback, personally. I don't ride Drop Zone so I can't comment on that, just that a lot of people on here have mentioned it can be a very tight fit.

Yeah, I planned on doing so. But I don't know what all has a testing seat. I know Diamondback and Crypt, but I don't know about anything else. Well, that's why I have my waist inches and my thigh inches, because everyone is shaped differently.

Delirium has a test seat as well, and there might be one other ride that does but it's not coming to mind.

The Beast has no test seat,but you can enter via exit and i think they still let you try a seat.Diamondback,tomb raider (opps did i just call it that)has one.But you should be ok.At 267 5-7 i fit The Beast ok.tight but ok.On Drop zone some belts seem tighter than others but again it could just be me.

Ill never forget I went to KI when I was a freshman with my friends, and we were in line for Flight of Fear, and we waited 2 hours, and when it was our turn to load, a guy behind be couldnt ride and he waited all the time. I felt sooooo bad for him.

on Flight of Fear i got stuck in the seat because i have really long legs, im 6'2

Delirium has a test seat as well, and there might be one other ride that does but it's not coming to mind.

According to the park's Rider Safety Guide, there are test seats at the entrance to Delirium, Diamondback, and The Crypt.

Backlot Stunt Coaster and Flight of Fear are both a squeeze because they're so tight and low-set, and have ankle restraints.

I am 5'2 and 255lbs. I had a bit of a sqeeze the first time I rode WindSeeker, and the second time the girl had to come back and push it down again. I still rode it though. (Not sure if your interested in the kiddie rides.) Flying ace was a bit tight, but I could do it. I have yet to be turned down on a ride. I haven't rode Diamondback or Delirium yet though.

I'm like a 24 and I can ride everything except Drop Zone. I can ride Drop Zone if I don't mind not being able to breathe even.

Indeed. I've lost a good deal of weight, but not as much as I would have liked. Hoping to get to Dragster/Millie size by next year!
