IS Lighting

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about the lights on International Street. I know when they were removed 2 years ago it was rumor that they would be replaced the following year, along with new fountain lights, and Eiffel Tower lights. Well none of that has happened yet. (The fountain was refurbished, but used the same lights) So do you think we will ever see the lights back on IS? I hope so they added a lot to the look and feel of the park at night. Based on PKI's very poor history of maintaining the small detail things I doubt that we will ever see them again.

Well tonight the fountain lights changed to many different colors. The site will have an example of a purple/blue and orange version of the fountain. Very nice. Not sure if it was that way last year or not.

*coughFANBOYcough*

The park can never do a great job with every aspect. The park does as best it can though. I mean, look at AE. The current theming is nothing compared to the original theming, but they do keep adding some of the old details that they can.

Why do we as guest allow an ok to good job on maintaining details? I think that we should hold the park to the high standard that it claims it wants to achieve. I am not asking for PKI to install and maintain Disney still rides, I know that just isn't practical. But if you are going to install a ride with certain themeing elements, keep them and maintain them for future guest to enjoy. I love PKI and think it is an awesome park, but when it comes to some of the details, that could make this park truly great. I feel PKI overlooks them. ei. Festhause, oktoberfest, top gun, ae. international street, The Beast, Action Zone(Adventure Village). All of these areas/rides once had much more character to them. but through the years KI/PKI has let the details vanish.

This is true about Six Flags, although the company did state that instead of building huge rides as fast as possible, they're going to focus more on customer satisfaction and cleanliness, which I can imagine also includes the details that makes Cedar Point one of the best amusement parks in the world. The Point is very clean, the grass is always cut, flowers are watered and landscape is well maintained. It's amazing how much of a difference landscape up-keep can make in a park.

i thought PKI was a beautiful park when i visited. It is so different from any other park i've been to it's amazin. All of the Paramount parks have grown on me and i kind of wish PKI was my homepark because it looked very well upkept in every section compared to other parks.

PKI has renovated alot of the park. Beast recieved alot of new wood, Action Zone got some paint and all new posters.

Yeah I've never noticed PKI ever being really disgusting. But Cedar Point is really clean. I would eat of the ground there (and I might already have *wink*). I feel the only thing that PKI is more disgusting in is all the smoking. Most of the garbage on the ground is cigarettes, and it smells like woo woo woo.
