May 4, 201115 yr a story about a man who used to trade flowers with the gardeners who tended the KI Floral Clock: http://www.state-journal.com/news/simple_article/5027623 A very, very nice article, indeed....
May 4, 201115 yr And as an aside, am I the only one that is saddened by the fact that KI`s floral date display no longer shows the year?
May 4, 201115 yr Author Nope...I am, too. It was a great place for photos that could easily be dated in the future...remember back in '86 when the kids were 13?
May 4, 201115 yr I agree! And up until a few seasons ago, it actually had the old KI logo on it too. (A KI logo that has now found its way onto some t-shirts being sold in the Emporium shop by the way!
May 4, 201115 yr I miss the rest of the floral clock. I would rather have the full clock than Christmas lights on it.
May 4, 201115 yr I absolutely love the Floral Clock at the capital and it's a staple when visiting Frankfort. It's beautiful during the summer and is a great spot to snap some photos. I also love how it changes almost every season to some different amazing design, I drive by it often and see it almost everyday. Simply outstanding. Here it is as seen of one year ago.
May 4, 201115 yr Does anybody remember what happened to the clock at Coney Island? If I remember right, it was by the fountain near the current admininistration building. pilotank
May 6, 201115 yr A KI logo that has now found its way onto some t-shirts being sold in the Emporium shop by the way! I actually have a Beast shirt from last year that says "King's Island" in the old logo style/font. Chances are it was intentional.
