Top ten scariest rollercoasters at kings island

Featured Replies

Diamondback and Firehawk are the only two that scare me to any degree, and mostly only due to the feeling of the restraints - on Diamondback, it's the airtime; on Firehawk it's the vulnerable sensation from lying down on my stomach. I trust the restraint systems, it's just that physical feeling that gets me a bit.

[the first time i rode mean streak at CP i came off with a massive headache. Is that just me or does it do that to everyone?

Mean Streak is the only coaster anywhere that I vowed to never ride again. I broke that vow in 2004 when I went with a friend who hadn't ridden it, and he really wanted to. The vow was quickly reinstated.

But they did some retracking on it over this past off-season, and I've heard reports from numerous friends that I trust that it is MUCH better this year. I may give it another chance next time I go.

I would have to say Diamondback and Drop Tower. I'll ride DB all day, though, you won't see me on Drop Tower any time soon. laugh.gif

1.) The Beast (feels like you are going to fly off the track)

2.) Flight of Fear (the build up. the ride itself isn't scary)

3.) Flight Deck (the end brake run makes you feel like you will fly off!)

Now, coasters don't really scare me. But flat rides that do scare me are:

1.) Drop Tower (heights. scary.)

2.) Delirium (feels like you are going upside down)

3.) Woodstock's Whirlybirds (the tallest thing in the park).
