The station has been receiving the only maintenence since '10 after the shut down, so why would people be walking most probably unsafe structures and track?

Why would you assume the structures and track are unsafe to walk?

The track appears to be more warped than usual, and the transfer track has rusted really bad.

I just love ready posts by people that are not engineers giving expert opinions on the structural stability of the ride. Well, I am not an engineer but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Rolling Thunder. I can just imagine what many would think of its appearance. And yet it operates in perhaps the second strictest state in the Union, ride-wise. Appearances can be deceiving.

Like most people who talk about the structural stability, I do not claim to be an expert. It just doesn't seem like the structure is safe. But what do I know!

If it wasn't safe and the park didn't have the funds to remove it safely, it would still stand there, trying to keep it safe enough to not fall down around existing rides...

What part of the track looks warped, and where did you see it from?

I don't think the park cares if they dont have enough money to take it down if it isn't safe.

If it is causing harm or is potentially unsafe and threatening the lives of people and the nearby rides in the park, CF will do what is necesary to fix the problem.

What construction/demo company will do work for probono/little pay and say "Oh, you can give us the rest of the money later on. It's ok."?

If they have to, they would close off areas of Action Zone and/or Adventure Express.

1. Transfer track- Queue in Wolf Pack (don't say anything about fog-you can see perfectly fine through it. And even if you can't, if you get there when the Sun is setting early on and the smoke hasn't built up yet, you can see the rust perfectly)

2. Cross sections in the supports (you can look at any 2000 picture and see that they weren't that bad then compared to now. Look at the exit from Flight Deck and near Thunder Alley.)

3. The rosebowl (Eiffel Tower with a camera [you might need a good zoom])

^ You did not mention where you can accurately diagnose the warping from.

The Crypt, I got news for you, I didnt say CF wouldn't pay them a lot. Also, if you didn't know, at the moment CF isn't bankrupt. They are actually planning to build a $25 million coaster next yea (not announced).

So if CF has the money and the rides not safe, they will take care of it.

But Cedar Fair has debtload, as many major companies do.

And budgets for capital expenditures, using priorities to decide what gets done and does not.

There is no reason to mention the fog, as there is no way to accurately inspect anything from such a great distance.

Again, there is zero way to accurately diagnose anything from such a great distance, that said, I am anxious to see the pictures that will be posted that you took with the good zoom to compare to the 2000 pics.

So, rust now causes steel to warp.

I learn new stuff everyday!

All of Son of Beast's track was steel, mounted on laminated wood.

So truly what is next for SOB, it could sit there for years!

I don't think it's going to sit there for more years. I think you will hear whats going to happen on a Wednesday at 11AM.
