Labor Day weekend crowds

Soooo...based on the forcast for the rest of this holliday weekend, would you suggest a trip to KI tomorrow or Monday?

Yes, of course!*

Sunday will be much cooler than Monday, but Monday is apt to be less busy.

(*Certain traditions need to be upheld, but that IS a truthful answer...don't forget Stricker's is also open Monday...)

The temperatures don't matter too much, as neither day is supposed to be too hot :) So I will probably wait until Monday to go, if it works for everyone, and if I'm allowed :D And I won't be going to Sticker's...Thanks Terpy!!

I went today with my daughter and nephew and it was the most crowded I have ever seen it. If Sunday is worse I would not recommend it at all; even though the weather is perfect

At 6pm it was a 90 minute wait for Diamondback. My daughter and I waited 50 minutes for woodstock's express. We had a terrible time

We went today too, and it was fairly busy but I've seen it much worse. Then again, I've been there a lot more that the average gator. It was nowhere near the crowds that the park had on the old Paramount Gold Pass Bring a Friend Free days, or even the Robby Knievel and Rick Wallenda events.

Sorry you had a bad time, sounds like pretty long lines! I can't believe the DB wait was 90 minutes, the most I've ever waited was around 25 minutes and that was on a crowded Saturday. By the way, based on your username I assume you are from Carrollton, KY. Is that right?

Park is packed but it is sure nice to walk around and people watch.

Democrat, Republican, Tea Party... doesn't matter- if you've got money to spend- the park will let you in. I'm sure if the International Club of Kings Island Haters wanted to rent the park out to themselves... so long as they paid by certified funds- Kings Island would be happy to rent to them.

And if you hate the political banter, better buy the plugs now because this annual Kindergarten clash is going to hit it's stride for the next 60 days.

Diamondback did not have a 90min wait around 6pm, nor did it ever yesterday. It was maybe an hour perhaps not even that.

Monday was the most crowded day of the year for me personally, but all my previous visits were on weekdays. The Diamondback speedrails were all open (except the last two) in the outer part of the queue, and the line was almost to the entrance. This was about 6pm. I didn't time the wait, but experience tells me it was less than 45 minutes and probably just over 35 or so.

As I said before, unless you actually wait in a line, you don't know for sure how long the wait is. KI tends to overestimate the posted line waits ( probably so people won't be ticked if the wait is longer.) I also find that publicized line waits are often based upon people, especially children, who overestimate or exaggerate the wait.
