August 30, 201015 yr Just as a general, straight-to-the-point question: Why does the rotation on Delirium's ring always bounce and skip when it reaches the top of it's swing?
August 30, 201015 yr Author If that's not a joke, then my condolences; but is it from the wheels/ rubber belt (or whatever is used to grip the ring) slipping?
August 30, 201015 yr Author Oh, well I didn't figure it was an issue... nothing dangerous, that is. But I just figured that maybe the bumping wasn't intended. And your quotes around feature didn't make me think otherwise; just made me think I shouldn't worry. (I don't btw, I trust KI would close a ride when needed)
August 30, 201015 yr Author Oh well, a mutual friend doesn't ride it because he claimed that the bolts were coming off. I asked him how he knew, and he said at the peak of the swing it was jumping. [perhaps I should post this in guests say the darnedest things] But I just came on here to see if anyone knew the real reason why it does this. I still think it's safe even with this bouncing.
August 30, 201015 yr Not unlike the odd, weird noises that Drop Tower makes, it truly is a feature, and is designed into the ride experience.
August 30, 201015 yr Author Alright, I shall take your word, and hopefully he'll climb on to the ride and enjoy it as it's meant to be enjoyed. On a side note, I rode today... and walking off I couldn't help but think. Did they make the swings higher? And add two extra swings?
August 30, 201015 yr If I may....what's with the horn on Diamondback? Sometimes sounds, sometimes doesn't.
August 30, 201015 yr The horn is an all clear signal to be sounded when the coaster has not been running and is beginning to run again. If you are in the lock out area (as a worker), it is a "Get the heck out of there" warning! It also makes Terpy homepark sick...and makes him start wondering if Kingda Ka is running again. It has the same horn, and the first year it sounded before every dispatch (then the locals got tired of that!)
