January 24, 200422 yr What is your favorite classic flat ride at the park? Mine is either the Bumper Cars or Monster. (the new flat rides like Dropzone, Delirium, and Tomb Raider don't count)
January 24, 200422 yr It seems like this should be a poll in the polls section, but oh well... Eagles. Snapping those babies can be soooooo much fun!
January 24, 200422 yr I'll take the Eagles too. While I love virtually every flat in the park, I'm an Eagles man. Like I've said here before, I enjoyed the Eagles so often.....I've actually formed friendships with The Beast/Eagles crew! StX, since you're now a Beast crew member, you'll be seeing a lot of me this year. I usually show up early, then come back for the last hour or two each night to snap. There are a few of us back there (park regulars) who have gotten to know each other pretty well. We even keep in touch during the off season. By the way, I'm straying OT for a second... Who is now The Beast crew supervisor? Brian was for a long time, and then was promoted. I'm not sure what happened to Craig. Brian was great, because he would actually congratulate a great snap-cycle, much to the bemusement of other guests who really don't like snappers much... anyway, that crew is absoulutely one of the best in the park.....right up there with Delirium. (I'll go into that in another thread)
January 24, 200422 yr Flying Eagles, you get quite good at snapping after watching it for at least 4 hours a day, for a season and a half. Trust me... It will forever be the best flat ride in the park.
January 24, 200422 yr Yeah, Brian was a great sup, one of the reasons I moved to Beast crew. Sups haven't been chosen yet, so no one knows. I'm hoping to learn to snap better from working that ride. I'm gonna ask to run that thing alot!
January 24, 200422 yr One that would change the park forever is none other than Shake Rattle and Roll!!! It's the best when you ride with a friend (especially if they're of the opposite sex...ha ha...) So much fun, and such a classic. I hope it never goes away!!!
January 24, 200422 yr Hmmmmm...favorite flat ride~~~~Lets see here........ 1. Eiffel Tower 2. Shake Rattle & Roll 3. Days of Thunder (is that a flat ride?) My favorite three...
January 24, 200422 yr Days of Thunder COULD be considered a flat. It's definitely not a thrill ride, but it sure isn't a coaster. Maybe it's considered an entertainment ride? I have no idea. YAY! POST NUMBER 201!!! Now if i can only remember which one was #200... Edited January 1, 197056 yr by fryler87
January 24, 200422 yr DOT is NOT a flat ride. Its go karts, how is it a flat ride if its go karts?? Face/Off is more of a flat ride then DOT.
January 24, 200422 yr How about the Grand Carousel. That thing is awesome. There is so much craftsmanship in that thing. Plus it is a great classic ride.
January 24, 200422 yr Mine is definately the Monster. I love the types of rides where basically every part of the ride spins. I also really like SR&R and Scrambler.
January 25, 200422 yr DOT is NOT a flat ride. Its go karts, how is it a flat ride if its go karts?? Face/Off is more of a flat ride then DOT. Ok I can agree with that. But it is a one of a kind ride in the park. So if it were put in a category with other rides my best guess would be that it would be a flat ride. It def. isnt a rollar coaster. steve
January 25, 200422 yr DOT is NOT a flat ride. Its go karts, how is it a flat ride if its go karts?? Face/Off is more of a flat ride then DOT. What? That doesn't make any sence. How is Tombraider a flat ride if it's a Giant Top Spin? How is Delirium a flat ride if it's a Giant Frisbee? How is Dodgems a flat ride if it's Bumper Cars? There are 2 types of rides in a park: Coasters and Flat Rides.
January 25, 200422 yr Yeah, forgot about the water rides. 3 types? 4 types if you want to include dark rides, but i wouldn't consider go-karts it's own catagory of rides. Someone's gonna tell us this is off topic, and 3 2 1... Edited January 1, 197056 yr by derbeast
January 25, 200422 yr So what are Skyflyer, Slingshot, and Launch Pad considered then? Not flat rides. Maybe you can classify them as payrides. So there you go, thats what DOT is.
January 25, 200422 yr Actually I think Skyflyer can be techniclly be considered a coaster, seeing as it is a "Skycoaster". But I dont know, thats questionable. But anywho, I cant believe I am arguing about DOT. DOT isnt a ride, its just a big oval in the ground.
January 25, 200422 yr LOL Skyflyer's got the coast, but no roll Edited January 1, 197056 yr by derbeast
January 25, 200422 yr Anywho, back on topic, my favorite flat is Ship. I love that ride. It used to make me so sick but then I got used to it. Love riding it.
