August 22, 201015 yr Were there ANY coaster events at KI in 2010? I find it a bit bizarre to go from having several last year to absolutely none this year. Typically even KICentral has had an event at the park each year. I'm not really complaining that there wasn't one this year, but I don't seem to remember hearing about ANYTHING going on this year. Now that I think about it, this is probably the #1 reason I did not buy a season pass this year.

August 22, 201015 yr p.p.s Reserve Saturday, Oct 30th for something special. I know that it is probably trick or treat night, but we'll be making it worth your time (and the kiddies will get candy). ^The Latest ACE Southwest Ohio E-Mail. I hope that this event comes through, I find myself disappointed that they said they'd be "Holding Several Smaller events instead of a few big ones like Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend", and here we are coming up on Weekend Operations again, so far, nil. Unless perhaps you count the train tours, which I must point out were open to the public for a while. Before people start with the "KI doesn't have to have the events, you know", I'm saying that we were told there would be events, and there weren't.
August 22, 201015 yr To be fair, Ride Warriors Weekend at Kings Island was also not done...since it was apparently seen by the park as about as big a success as Sandusky has seen those forums to be... Terp, just sayin'...watch what they DO, not what they say...
August 22, 201015 yr As a GOCC Member, looking at the Fall Freakout schedule again truly makes me wish that re-entry was allowed during the haunt nights. Though I want to do the lights on tours (the only time I desire to go through one of them) and I really would Love the Midnight Beast ride, just for the formality of getting my one Beast night ride in this season, the whole idea of spending 5 hours in an (IMHO) over-fogged mess really makes me want to say "no-go". My morbid curiosity as to what is going on in the SOB station is likely going to be the thing that persuades me to do it.... at least for the few daytime events that are scheduled.
August 22, 201015 yr I would go but I will be down in Orlando. There is not enough happening at the Fall Freakout to make me change my plans.
