Hands Up! (Poll)

Featured Replies

Instead of using a poll, just post your opinions to the question.

What rides can you put your hands up on, and what can't you? (at Kings Island)

I can put my hands up on Diamondback, and honestly...that's about it. Diamondback is the smoothest, and I can easily put my hands up. Any wooden coaster I will not put my hands up, just because it's too rough. Including Woodstock Express!

Every ride. Just started putting my hands up on FH recently. I do pull my hands down a little bit when I'm approaching The Beast tunnels though. ;)

Hands Up on almost every ride for me! Just on that pesky Drop Tower that I can't seem to let go of the restraint!

Wow, I honestly didn't expect these answers. This poll is so pointless! I thought most of you would say you can't put your hands up on at least some rides.

What daredevils you are! (compared to me ;))

Everything except for The Beast in some parts, becuase I hit the person sitting next to me, and Drop Tower.

I could hold my hands up on every ride if I wanted to, but sometimes I'd just rather sit and enjoy the ride. I do on Diamondback, Firehawk (flying like I'm Superman), The Beast, and The Racer but most of the time I just sit with my hands in my lap.

I refuse to answer this question for reasons that those who know me know what they are...

Terp, who simply must take the Fifth...(where did I put that thing anyway?)

You are not alone there. They have to take a crow bar to pry my hands from the restraints.

I hold on when on Beast, but that is it. And yes, I do not hold on for Drop Tower. Quite the air time experience when you let go :D

It's impossible to put my hands up on Vortex. FOF is really fun to put your hands up on. On Firehawk you can put your hands up, well, "out" I should say. I can usually put my hands up on Beast and Backlot.

I put my hands up on pretty much every ride, the only one I don't is Top Gun and Vortex because it's kinda hard with it's restraints.

I put my hands up on every ride I ride now. KI and CP and anywhere else. Drop Tower it is best to put your arms out front of you and lift your legs up and then the fall hits you and you get a feeling like no other. I know this is a KI topic but most people think that your arms will rip off or out of their socket if you hold them up on TTD, but it's really not that hard to do, plus going down the hill you get a great feeling like your gonna come right out of your seat.

It is essential to NOT put your hands up during the launches of TTD and Kingda Ka. Doing so risks serious injury and is directly contrary to both parks' rules.

Terp, just sayin' (and doing so at Great Adventure can and likely will cause the early termination of your day in the park).

It is also apparently against the rules to put your hands up for the launch on Pony Express at Knott's Berry Farm - got to watch out for that 0 to 38 miles per hour launch in a mere 3 seconds.

Pretty much every ride except Beast through the final helix ( After Terpie's warning ) and Maverick. (Regarding my shoulders in Fred Flintstone's words: Yeowww!!!!!)

I do it almost every ride I'm on, unless its a wooden coaster later in the day if my head hurts from being rattled around to much.

Long Medium-time reader, first-time poster.

I'm fairly new to thrill rides in general (this year being the first time I have been to any amusement park in 14 years since The Racer spooked me at age nine), but just in the span of this season, I've reached the point that I can put my hands up (or out in the cases of Firehawk and Xtreme Skyflyer) on most thrill rides, and yes, that includes Drop Tower. The ones I can't put my hands up on include Flight Deck, Vortex (both due to the OTSR pinning my arms down), Invertigo (backwards still scares me a little bit), and The Beast (have to brace myself because it's too rough, though I can raise my hands on the first drop).

EVER Ride except Vortex and Firehawk, instead they are out to the side!!

And when you guys say Drop Zone, DO IT!!! PUT THEM OUT!!! IT IS AWESOME!!!!

BHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hands up on Racer, Beast and Diamondback (and out on Firehawk).

Hands down on Vortex, Flight Deck & Invertigo, only because of the OTSR.

Hands down on Flight of Fear, Woodstock Express, BLSC and Adventure Express - not out of fear, but because I just like sitting there and enjoying the ride.

I don't say Drop Zone, I say Drop Tower...

It's paramount to do it right.
