I still think it would of been better off at MiA, but great to it at least survives somewhere else.

Never rode it at Cedar Point but I will in 7 days at Dorney. Excited.

Apparently, it's actually The Demon Drop.

I can remember, at one time, when DD was one of the most thrilling rides at CP.

I can also remember waiting in line for almost two hours to get on as DD had a really slow line.

And then another time (yeah, this is really it) when I had the privilege of being stuck on the drop end of DD with another guest that had very good lungs for over 45 minutes. All four guests actually received a free one day pass due to the "downtime" and end result of the "screaming".

The horizon of CP will never be the same...

I was standing in line (which always seemed to take forever) for Demon Drop one afternoon when the car missed the first set of brakes, and was stopped by the second. (The "normal" brakes fired, but seemed to be just a second or so too late to catch the car.) Those second set of brakes grabbed HARD, and the ride really shook (not to mention all the dirt that went flying since those brakes are not often used.) The people were stuck in the car for a while while the crew had to manually push the car back into the spot where it could be lowered into the offloading position.

They then closed the ride for the rest of day, and I never did get to ride it that trip. (Actually, I'm not sure I've ever ridden it since, and I think that was back in the late 90s!)

that's the ride i always finished my day at Cedar Point with, it's just not going to be the same without ending the day with a demon drop night ride.
