This Sunday, I headed out to CP at 8 AM from Indianapolis with some friends and family. It was awesome..of the 3 times I've been to CP, this one was definitely the best. I also stayed at Kalahari Sandusky and it was great. It's expensive so I wouldn't suggest it if you are on a budget (500 dollars for 2 nights in a 2 room suite, including tax)

SURPRISES: -Walk ons for 4/5 big rides on Sunday..and that includes Dragster. Love it!

-I...liked..Mean Streak. It was fun! It wasn't great but I expected SOB rough-ness based on what everyone had said. Maybe it was where I sat, but I liked it.

-Raptor was a walk on the whole trip.

-Rides being down...9AM today (Tuesday) the park DEFINITELY let in the GP (not just platinum pass holders) in to the park. It was packed at 9:30 (for those who don't know, the park opened at 10) It was very frustrating..even more so when Dragster, Maverick, Millie, and Magnum were not testing until 9:40.

GENERAL COMMENTS: - I FINALLY rode Skyhawk..and I walked right on! It was great. My new favorite flat! This might sound weird, but it was also very pretty.

-Dragster was amazing at night in the front seat. Great ride.

- I was the final train of the night for Magnum Monday night. Even though I had a horrid seat, I loved how the ride ops said as we pulled in during our first ride, "Do you guys wanna be the last train of the night? (Everyone, including me screams YES!) Have fun guys, you all are awesome!"..THAT is CF service I like.

- I finally rode CP&LE RR..and I thought it was 100000000x better than KI's! Wow, there were some awesome views of Maverick, Lake Erie, and my fav. Millie.

- Mille was awesome as usual.

- DON'T ever eat at Panda Express near Millie. Gave me a stomachache for the rest of the day. YUCK.

Overall it was a fantastic trip and every time I go to CP I fall in love with their world-class collection of coasters.

Don't forget, ALL resort guest get in at 9 as well, including the campground and Breakers Express. There are lots of resort guest and it can feel like the GP are in. As a reminder, Dragster and Magnum do not open until 10am and do not begin testing usually until 9:30.

Sounds like you got a good fill of Magnum on your trip! Riding Magnum is a lot of fun at night.

Remember that about half the people (if not more) going to Cedar Point stay in a resort. And a lot of the locals that aren't staying in a resort carry passes, so it can feel like the park is packed even during ERT.

Great TR! I was there the same days as you too. And I was on the second to last train on Magnum on Mon. night, cool!! Glad you had fun, I had a blast too!

Nice TR, but I have to disagree about CP's mine ride being better than AE. AE is easily the best mine ride I've been on to date. And also, I love the Panda Express

^ Um..I never said that CCMR is better than AE. I said CP has a better railroad than KI. CCMR is awful while AE is ok, imo.

I know, I was really expecting rain on Mon. Also I can't believe how short the lines were on Sunday!!
