What if (fill in the blank) was not at Kings Island?

Featured Replies

I was thinking while working today, what if Diamondback never stuck KI? That got me going to wonder what if (fill in the blank) wasn't at the park?

I realize this may not be the most positively-minded topic rolleyes.gif, but I thought it could spark some interesting discussions.

My main thought though was: What if The Beast was never built at Kings Island?

What are your thoughts?

Exactly. Nothing would be different about KI, just the fact that there is no Beast roller coaster.

Or, KI wouldn't have the longest wooden coaster in the world.

If BLST was not at KI, we would still have the antique cars and a place to relax in the park.

If the veast would never built I don't think Kings Island would never be where it's at today. I think The Beast is what put KI on everyones lists of places to visit.

If SOB were not at the park, there wouldn't be 10,000 stupid threads about it on this site - all of which seem to repeat themselves!

What if there were water in tower gardens? We'd all love it!

What if Action Theater wasn't there? They'd have a nice spot to put a giant flat, i.e. Skyhawk.

It would make my smoking more pleasant . lol ha! Sorry chaddie I couldn't help myself.

If they put the water back in there, I might start smoking just so I could enjoy the gardens. :)

I think I am going to head to the park (finally) today with the kidlets :)

If I see water, I will get a pack of smokes

That must be the same hose that they are filling the "Splashdown" at BLSC with. Maybe even the same one used to bring water back to The Beast!

I heard a guy named Phillip say Morr is better!

What if Paramount still owned KI...

  • BLSC would be still be called IJST and the ride would squirt water like it used to.
  • The Crypt would still be called TRTR and still be one of the best dark rides of all time.
  • We wouldn't have had DB. BOO-HOO! sad.gif
  • The Paramount Story wouldn't be just a garden/smoking area.
  • We'd probably have a new themed ride for 2009 or 2010.
  • Who knows what Paramount would've done with SOB.
  • Planet Snoopy would still be Nickelodeon.
  • KI would be much more of a theme park than an amusement park.

What if The Racer wasn't built at King's Island. the entire industry would be different. If The Racer was really what "sparked interest in coasters again", then King's Island might only have one or two coasters today. This goes for any park. Heck, Cedar Point might not have built Magnum if it wasn't for The Racer, and we all know that the Magnum is what started the coaster wars. The amusement park industry would be pretty boring if The Racer wasn't built.

And right now The Racer is sitting to the far left of the park. The white paint is chipping, there are black stains under the lift, and the line has grass growing between the massive cracks in the concrete. If the ride didn't have trains on it I would be easily convinced that it's SBNO. Nice...

What if Diamondback never came to KI?

I would have never came to KI last year for the first time in 5 years and the 3rd time in my entire life. Thank you DB, it was totally worth it. But not as good as MF or Dragster (Whomp Whomp).

And that right there is the reason they spent the 24 mil to build it. I must say I go over more than I used to to ride DB! CF most definitely made the right choice to build it!

I would imagine this thread would be here. wink.gif

What if the Eiffel Tower was not at Kings Island? I'd keep looking up at nothing from points throughout the park.

Surprised there had been no...

"What if the Crypt wasn't at Kings Island? Then Rivertown would be awesome LOLZ ROFLZ@!"

Haha yes! Then I wouldn't have to warn all the people in line that the ride sucks.

(I am the official warning patrol of The Crypt, and no one can steal that badge from me!)
