What a blessing they found it, and kudos to the park for going to such lengths. I know I have witnessed many engagements at the park, and that was kinda special.

    Given that the pond was the one in Octoberfest, I`d imagine that the ride was either Viking Fury, or possibly Sling Shot. Viking Fury does pass directly over the water. With Sling Shot, all it would take is for some trajectory to the ring when it slid off to find its way into the pond.

    If anyone has looked at the Kings Island Official blog, they would have seen that the ring slipped off into the Octoberfest pond and the diver who found it was invited to the couples' wedding! Quite a cool story!
