Halloween Haunt 2010

Featured Replies

Looking at the park schedule on the website; it shows the park open for the kids during the day until 5pm; then the park closing at 8pm on Halloween. Isn't this the whole point of Haunt to celebrate Halloween? I hope they re-consider and stay open until Midnight.

I realize this year Halloween is on a Sunday, but come on park, do the right thing.

It's Kings Island. There going to do what they want to do. :D

But that sucks that Halloween is on a Sunday this year. Boo! Fun intended. :)

Last year Halloween Haunt was crazy! We had a ton of people, but the people I worked with told me the year before it was dead. I guess it's hit or miss. There also is minor laws that come into play to. When the minors leave it can really cripple a maze.

I'm kind of mixed about this. I LOVE the fact that at least so far, I'll be off to go trick-or-treating with GatorGirl this year, whereas the past two years I was working Haunt on Halloween night since it was a Friday in '08 and a Saturday in '09 and I missed Halloween with her. To make up for it we did plenty of Halloween related events in the weeks leading up to Halloween.

But with Halloween being on a Sunday, and the park only open until 8:00, it looks like I won't be on the final Beast train of the season this year. I was on the final trains in '07 & '08, and I believe the penultimate train in '09. It's a tradition I'd like to continue, but between that and trick-or-treating with GatorGirl, I'll pick GatorGirl. There's only so many years left that I'll get the chance to do that.
